Wreck-It Ralph is coming to the 3DS

Wreck-It Ralph is an upcoming Disney movie that focuses upon Ralph, a dejected video game character who’s tired of being the bad guy. There’s a trailer for the movie after the break (and it’s seriously worth checking out), whereas all we know about the game at the moment is that it “picks up where the movie leaves off” and will be available for 3DS, Wii, and DS.

      … given that it’s a game movie with actual Nintendo characters, I think there’s a fair chance it could be a cut above the average movie game.

      It should be. A concept like this presents a lot of interesting opportunities and potential if they were to really make something of it.

    I wonder why Activision’s publishing this instead of Disney Interactive?

    But anyone, I’m definitely seeing the movie, and might pick up the game – sounds interesting. I’m always excited for Disney movies, and the fact that they’re making one focused on video games with cameos of actual video game characters (Bowser, Eggman, Chun-Li, Zangief, M. Bison, etc.) gets me really hyped. :D

      Activision is publishing it? Now there is no way it could possibly be good. I thought there might be hope, but Activision is the worst publisher they could have chosen for this project.

      If you see this game on the shelf together with Luigi Manison, Kingdom Hearts or other AAA games… all sold around the same price. Will you buy this game?

      NO! Of course not. This type of games are sold to dumb 5 years old who seen the movie and want to play it.

      Thor on 3DS was awesome….and it’s the prequel to the movie.

      But if it’s just a video game version of the movie with nothing special about it, then you are better off just watching the movie.

      But Golden Eye on N64 was awesome, because it had a lot of special cool things about it……my personal favorite was the multiplayer in Golden Eye 64.

    A movie base of video games is making a video game. This better be at least somewhat decent. I would expect something if your movie is based around a gaming universe.

      Wrecking Crew is totally different, the protagonist of wrecking crew is trying to destroy a construction site. The protagonist of Fix it Felix is trying to fix broken things not destroy them!!

    This movie may seem to be relevant to Kingdom Hearts when one of the people said to Ralph, “You’re game jumping??” and then we saw footage from different games/worlds, if you will.

    So Wreck it Ralph seems to be knocking off Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong 3, Popeye, and Wrecking Crew. Therefore, we’re getting a video game based upon the movie Wreck It Ralph, based upon the video game Donkey Kong, which was based upon a movie.King Kong. So technically, it’s a movie-based game instead of a movie-based game. MY MIND HAS JUST BLOWN.
