Nintendo provided the above graphic to share what’s coming to the 3DS in 2012. But just to clarify, Pokémon Black and White 2 are both coming to the DS, but they were mentioned because they’re playable on the 3DS.

no new games and no mention of animal crossing which means the game will come out on 2013
but the games they showed, they conviced me to get them
i thought castlevania was gonna be a generic sidescroller and although it doest really feel like a castlevania, they actually made me see it is going to be a good game
they also convinced me to get nsmb 2 which still seems rushed, but at least it brings new ideas to the table

I liked this presentation. No new games, and no Animal Crossing, but it showed a lot about the big games coming out this year. It really hypes me up for Luigi’s Mansion, Paper Mario, and NSMB 2. It may have made Epic Mickey a definite buy instead of a “wait and see the reviews” kind of game.

Dude, there is a difference between waiting for an announced game and waiting for a game that has been announced. The fact that nintendo has already announced AC3DS like over 2 years ago we’ve still gotten very little info on the game. That makes it harder waiting for the game cause you know they’re actually making it. But normally that would be a good thing for other games since they usually give more info, but for animal crossing the info has been scarce. I’m not happy that they haven’t shown it at E3 but i can still wait awhile i guess.

No. The Luigi’s Mansion showing was a random mish-mosh of gameplay, mainly old gameplay we’ve all already seen. The only new thing was that Luigi will have a new colored vacuum wave that’s more powerful, and it’s a new story line (derp). So that’s about it. The presentation sucked, be glad you didn’t waste an hour of your life watching!

Oh yeah, Sony and Microsoft, that’s who. They hopped on board the motion control bandwagon when they saw how successful it was for Nintendo, and now they’re hopping on the second screen idea as well (Microsoft talking about making iPads and Android phones compatible with 360 after Nintendo already revealed the Wii-U game pad and announced they were making the same devices compatible with Wii-U). Nintendo has almost always come up with the new ideas while the other two mostly just capitalize on them. And Nintendo have 9 times out of 10 kept their E3 promises, I remember reading an article on Kotaku a couple of days ago where they examine who delivered on their promises from last year’s E3 and guess who was top of the list? As for the last comment, well I have been around since the SNES and the N64 also happens to be my favourite console ever, but from what I’ve seen the Wii-U will be just as good as it and every other console Nintendo has made. I know everyone’s disappointed at no Animal Crossing, but at the very least there are some great games on here like Castlevania, Kingdom Hearts, Heroes of Ruin, Paper Mario, Luigi’s Mansion, etc. that will keep at least me and many others busy until Animal Crossing. I wouldn’t even be able to afford it at this rate… I have an extremely optimistic view on this, but my small theory is that Animal Crossing has been neglected to be mentioned because it will have some kind of Wii U support. I want to make sure that you know that the Animal Crossing franchise is still very important to Nintendo, which is why it is one of the games featured in the upcoming Nintendo Land game for the Wii U (http://e3.nintendo.com/games/#/wiiu/nintendo-land).
