Nicalis has confirmed that VVVVVV, which we heard would be coming to the eShop, has been submitted to Nintendo of America for approval. Hopefully it doesn’t take too long before it’s given the all clear.
Very. I have this on my computer, and it’s really fun.
Sounds good. The eshop has a lack of good titles. It’s building up though-just very slowly.
I guess you could argue that there are plenty of really nice DsiWare titles but the 3DS exclusive content is minimal at the moment. The best release so far in my opinion was the 3D Classics remake of Kirby’s Adventure. I can’t wait for Kid Icarus to be added too.
Now this is a effin awesome title to have, and will possibly boost the sales cuz VVVVV is quite a rage quit title for non-hardcore gamers, there is a 50% chance that players will break their 3DS in the progress of the game.
@I am Error Considering I beat metroid zero mission on hard with less than 25% of items, I beat super meat boy, and Castlevania (my favorite series) is a cakewalk to me, I welcome this challenge.
@ABEzilla116: Challenge accepted huh?
There is no way back once you start it.
And on a sidenote, i sometimes forget about progressing just to listen to the awesomeness of 16-bit music. my record is 16 pickups and cleared with 348 deaths, i don’t remember the time it took me to clear it but it was such a long run.
I beat Metroid Zero Mission on Hard Mode with 15% of items. I’m dead serious. I wanted that final image so bad. It took me about 60 tries or more to get past the final section (beating Metal Ridley and Taking out the two Elite Space Pirates).
That was a nightmare.
Is this an indie game? Also, what’s it about?
Yep. It’s an indie game. The game is about the captain of a spaceship (Captan Veridian) who gets seperated from his crew in an alternate dimension, and he must find all of them. You cannot jump; you have to control gravity to get past obstacles. The game is really good, but it is also very hard and unforgiving at parts. The game is called VVVVVV because all six of the crew members have names that start with “V”. There are some demos of the PC version, so of you’re curious you can check it out.
Actually, the game is called VVVVVV because that name visually describes what you do in the game. When you shift gravity constantly while also moving to the right, Veridian appears to follow a path that looks like a row of V’s. All of the crew members’ names starting with V is actually a reference to the title, not the other way around.
I tought it was a reference to 4chan’s forum /v/ (Videogame) since I found about it there and played a demo, also there is a lot of meme’s and references in-game
all you need to know is that it’s really fun and has KICK ASS CHIPTUNE MUSIC.
In addition to Guy’s comment, VVVVVV can also be a representation of spikes, which there are many of.
Are you Tyler Rodriguez? If so, it’s pretty cool that you’re actually looking at these things and talking about the game.
will this be for AUS/NZ aswell?
Hmm…I was more excited about Ikachan than this. Does anyone know what happened to that.
it’s still in development
Quality! I haven’t bought anything from the shop yet but I might just buy this! Epic.
Also think about getting Mutant Mudds, that game looks epic!
That awkward moment when you try to pronounce VVVVVV to a friend…
LOL! ^ THIS!
How can it be confirmed for the eShop when NoA hasn’t given it the ok?
It has been confirmed. Nintendo HAS given it the OK. Now it’s just a matter of time for Nintendo to review and publish it or whatever.
Is there a release date yet for Mutant Mudds?
I hope they make improvements to it or add new levels, because I already own it for PC.
it’ll be in 3D
But it’s in f**king 3D!!! :o
I don’t think it’s in 3D?
this look’s fun
I recall playing the PC version of this. Suffice to say, I really enjoyed playing it.
Is VVVVVV good? Please answer.
YES! Even if you beat the game within a few hours (I believe it’s 3-4 hours long) it will provide plenty of challenge and entertainment. It will also feature timing how fast you beat it. You should definately get it.
What will ninty charge for this when its out? €10? €8… €5?
Any screenshots of it yet?
