Unchained Blades launches in North America this Spring

XSEED has confirmed they will released Unchained Blades in North America during the Spring. There’s also a new trailer for the game that you can check out after the break.

    Oh damn, I can’t wait xD I hope it doesn’t cost to much, seeing as it’s a downloadable game and is going to take up space…

    The Skill Map looks incredibly similar to the Sphere Grid in Final Fantasy X o_O

      Just because it’s first person? Your missing out on a ton of great games… Dragon Quest, Etrian Odyssey, Shin Megami Tensei…

      I agree with this guy. What’s wrong with first person game? You probably never try it out yet.

      I’m going to try the Etrian Odyssey games @ some point, but for some reason I just like the experience better of being able to see your character somewhat…
      But you hit the nail on the head, I never played them yet so I don’t really know.

      Earthbound was a first person RPG and that is one of my most favorite RPG’s of all time. I will definitely get this game!

      @tob2007 I don’t know where you’re getting your information, but when I looked it up it says that it isn’t confirmed to be an eShop exclusive game. It was only mentioned to be a downloadable game.

      @Enzo It is being distributes in retail in japan, but there was an article on this website a few months ago that said this was going to be coming to the eshop only.

      @Csaw if you’re going to say that, I would want to see the article/website. You can’t believe everything you see on the Internet. It can be potentially false information.

      You do in the dialog scenes, and the char graphics do show up in the special skill (burst skill?) sequences. Other than that they’re represented in busts/profiles at the bottom of the screen. Pretty typical for story driven dungeon crawlers.

      Yeah, the Etrian Odyssey series, Mother/Earthbound series, Phantasy Star series. They all do this.

    It looks pretty good! If it is $10 or under I think I will buy it. Heck, I might be willing to pay $15 if it gets really good reviews. Can’t believe its an eShop game…

      It’s a full retail game. It’s only being distributed through the eshop only outside of japan. So expect the price to be in the $30-$40 range.

    I hope they are able to keep all of the content from the retail release, definitely willing to pay $30+ for this…

    Been following this game for awhile… definitely planning on buying it.

    I’m hoping it does well for another reason though… my understanding is it had a retail release in Japan, initially was not going to be released in the US at all, then later the decision was made to localize it for a digital release. That being the case I’m hoping this starts a trend of more great games being translated and brought to the states that we otherwise miss out on.

    Please don’t let the game actually be interlaced like the video was. That would really take away from what looks like an awesome game.

    Damn, this looks nice! can’t believe no one has mentioned how this really looks like Shin Megami Tensei.

    It looks alright but nothing I’m particularly hungry for. That music sounds like a tune from a Sonic level called Aquatic Ruin. A more upbeat version.

    Not that I care, but I didn’t even know this was a PSP game too. I wonder if it’s only being released digitally on both systems because of their uncertainty of sales on one of the systems (either DS or PSP).
