Ubisoft sees 700% increase in 3DS software sales

In line with the price drop of the 3DS, Ubisoft has seen an “eight-fold” increase in the sales of their software for the platform in Europe. This is a very positive sign. As always though, what matters is if the momentum can be maintained through Christmas and beyond.

      I dunno, but some may have a reason to soon – they’ve acquired Nadeo, after all…(in case you’re not familiar they’re both based in France – Nadeo are the creators of TrackMania and its numerous iterations, its true sequel to begin coming out this fall (TrackMania 2: Canyon). The series IS very popular, by the way!)

      Most of it is shovelware, but I actually enjoyed Rayman 3D and thought that the extra depth helped out quite a bit with the game.

      I’ve heard that Ghost Recoon is pretty good too. Isn’t that Ubisoft?

      I enjoyed Rabbids Through Time when a friend of mine lend it to me for a week. The only review I read of it was from IGN and as usual they didn’t learn all of the controls.

      I’m still ticked off back when Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology came out IGN said you can only run left and right during a battle. It got a lower score because they never thought about using the PSP’s thumbpad…

      Or you know, they get more money selling shovelware and then actually make a good 3DS game like one of those inevitable Assassin’s Creed Spin-offs.

      I’d like to see what they could do for a handheld stronger than the PSP. The PSP game that had come out was pretty cool.

      There WAS gonna be Assassins Creed 3D… It was to be called “Assassins Creed: Lost Legacy”…

      But then it was replaced with some shovelware and whatever they had done on the game was used for “Assassins Creed Revelations”, so…

    Well it could be that there good games are selling Ghost Recon, the only shovelware they really have out at the moment is Petz Fantasy which from where I seen it dosent look like it sold at all. So if there good games are selling maybe this will push them to give us some good games AC which will happen and it wont be Lost Legacy, Prince of Persia??? Tom Clancy. Maybe some of their Wii U Games.

      Also, their are plenty of cheap ubi-bundles I got rabbids simply cause it was like $28 (traded in a week later for $35 =P) with the console. At launch though. Now it’s like 2 ubi games and the console for RRP pretty much. Need to get em off the shelves somehow lol. I’m done with AC and ubi altogether now, would have tried the 3DS one cause haven’t tried a handheld version b4. Also ubi is u fortunately 70% of the 3ds section ATM xD.

    In english: I feel sorry for people picking up lousy ubisoft ports…but if it helps the 3DS it’s a necessary sacrifice of peoples happiness.

    ubisoft doesn’t just make crap. they make the just dance games….those sell like hotcakes…and they are coming out with james noir’s hollywood crimes. I wouldn’t say all their stuff is shovelware. And some people actually liked playing those tom clancy games. they made driver renegade too. That is definitely not shovelware. I love some of their games.
