There are no plans to release Monster Hunter Tri G outside of Japan, but here are screenshots

Capcom has said they have no plans to release Monster Hunter Tri G outside of Japan. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but it’s not in the works. Even so, new screenshots have been shared online and you can find them after the break. Let’s hope Capcom aren’t silly enough to leave the game un-localised though.

      Didn’t recognize the first word but I understood the rest and saw where he/she was coming from… you have issues. If it weren’t for the Japanese we wouldn’t have Nintendo (or the 3DS), the monster hunter series wouldn’t exist, and we’d all probably be dead from the black plague, which we all know was defeated by George Washington when he crossed the pacific ocean playing Tetris on a Gameboy to keep from dying of boredom

      The prob is that Capcom thinks they don’t have to do for fans, but for the money. Translating a game to other language and producing them would get more expensive, and since there aren’t non-japanese fans making fireworks to commemorate the release, they think we won’t buy the game (I’m just being ironic, don’t really believe this last part xDDD)

      I know that is what I am thinking. Nintendo gave 3rd parties this huge space to publish their AAA games for the system, but third parties did not do anything (except give us lower quality releases). When the console is in need of games, people will buy any highly publicized AAA third party game (3DS has sold about 4 million word wide, which would mean a good third party game would at least sell 1-2 million units, and if it is really popular it might sell up to 4 million which will still translate to a lot of money for the developer)

      They don’t have any plans for now to localize it, doesn’t mean they won’t. We waited quite a while for Tri, remember?
      Plus they mentioned they don’t have online not that they won’t. Ever since the PSP games they have had online in every instalment, plus it’s easier to make online capability with the 3ds than it was for the Wii.

      But now, seriously, Capcom hasn’t produced any block-buster games for the 3DS yet, and since the sudden cancellation of MML3, they’ve got the chance to redeem themselves through MonHun Tri 3DS. Of course, perhaps they will redeem themselves before Japan, but they’re still on the rest of the world’s sh*t-list regarding compromise.

      No it’s not (confirmed at least). It’s LOCAL. There is a seperate town for offline and online (local/online) modes.

    Monster Hunter Tri was one of my most hyped games… and I’m not sure exactly why. It was alright… didn’t play it enough. I would definitely give it a better chance if they brought it here. Unless we need that ridiculous brick attachment. Then, no thanks.

    The title seems somewhat misleading. There are no plans as of now to release it outside of Japan. They never said that it would never make it’s way out of Japan. The game was just announced, so let’s just give it some time.

    The dual analog is most likely worldwide, as it’ll probably be the basis for the left hand Kid Icarus, and even the wanted SMS remake and Smash Bros. But Monster Hunter, nyyyeeah, not sure if want.

    The source is dumb, four pages later and it leads to capcom unity. That was posted by a community manager from a US branch. The game was shown yesterday in Famitsu, I doubt this guy knows anything. It’s just PR talk. It also says “for now”

      It’s called 3G because in Japan, MH games that go one step further than the Portable/Freedom series have ‘G’ in their name. It kinda signifies that it’s packed with content and new features, however we won’t know anything for sure until more info is released.

      Some people rant cos’ they like to, but others do it with a sense of what they want. It’s not just 3G we’re looking for, it’s a Portable 3rd release as well. Capcom have recently acted like tight-arses with MH, so fans would really like a new installment, even if it’s just a port. And also, Capcom makes sure to bring along new monsters as well.

      3D, its a G version = more content, i think there are dual swords but i havent checked, more monsters, good graphics, portable, more weapons, more armour… the list goes on!

      Its not just a port. Capcom doesn’t do that with Monster Hunter. (except with Portable 3rd HD). They add more to the game to give it more value. The thing is that they dont seem to realize that the west has a large fan base for the game.

      One thing they could do is make a demo version: just choose a quest and a weapon set up. and make it for free on the Eshop. Then people download it for free. Experience the fun of the game. and There will be more people wanting to play the game. Plus then people share the experience with friends and make them want to get a 3DS and the game. Its a chain reaction.

      So really if anyone should be trying to get this game brought over to the west more then the fans it should be Nintendo.

    Wow, it really sucks to live in NA right now. Even though I love Capcom games, I’m beginning to think that they hate humanity. The game looks beautiful, everything about it. The sales would obviously be huge in NA. Japan isn’t the only country that likes good games.

      Honestly if this series has shown capcom anything it’s that the fan base for Monster Hunter is VERY small in North America and pretty much everywhere else in the world outside the Land of the Rising Sun. As fun as the game is I understand why its not popular. Half the time I almost feel like its not a game as much as it is a sport. There really isn’t any story to these games it’s just straight forward here’s the monster’s name and description we want you to find it and kill it, bring whatever can hold, call some friends if you can find any that have the game, also collect pieces of the monster so you can make things. Go Nuts and get ready to rage.

      I myself really enjoy these games, not saying I don’t suck at them cause I REALLY do suck at them. I’ve had many a good hour raging over that giant Bird monster on that beach in Unite on the PSP lmao.

      You don’t need a story for a game to be good. Monster Hunter is the same. It gives you a goal and you accomplish that goal. Most of the fun of monster hunter comes from A) playing with your friends and B) the challenges that the game provides.

      Basicall you fight monster lol. You start of gathering materials and hunting small creatures, then carnivores, then bigger monsters then bigger still then… well you get the idea, they get more and more powerful/difficult, and you get material like loot when carving the creatures and after completing a quest. The materials can then be used to make armours and weapons, or upgrade them. Its a great game dispite my crap explaination, you can see fromt eh screens its great in graphics, and they dont hold back in putting as much effort into the game as they can, as this game should be jam-packed with content. The only crap thing is it may not be localised as you’ve probably guessed.

    First Mega man legends was cancelled, THEN Monster hunter was pretty much denied for the rest of the world, as well as a bunch of other games were cancelled or delayed (MGS3D, Cave story, etc)… the 3DS is still looking like its goingn to be this generation’s virtual boy.
