Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has launched in Japan and it is apparently doing very well. GetNews in Japan is reporting that the game has sold out in stores soon after being put on the shelves. Though we won’t know the exact numbers until next week, this is still very good news. Hopefully the game’s success will mean it will be localized soon.
that’s actually not that suprising, though.

And the Japanese love their Rhythm Games :)
Good news for me; been wanting to pick this up for the longest time. I hope this inspires the localization team to speed it up.
Usually the success of a game in one country encourages localization so yeah, hopefully.
And David was oh so pessimistic about its localization chances :P
If it does well in Japan that means it won’t be localised because they don’t need the extra sales…
I wondered about that myself. The only reason I can think of not to localize it would be because it possibly wouldn’t be as popular elsewhere.
actuallt this game has been set for all regions for a long time, well since the beginning.
and rhythm games actually sell good in this country, just look at the Wii & 360.

They could but I don’t think they ever will.
I dont think this game would sell at all in the u.s possibly in Europe idk. Most ppl here in the u.s are too centered around their fps games or Mario on the 3ds. I’ll admit I’m not too interested in it but I’m willing to give it a chance most ppl in u.s won’t even give it a second look.
actually mario 3D & Cave Story 3D have been doing very well.
they still sale these 2 3DS games for $40 and thaat says a lot.

those are the ps360 folks we here are Nintendo fans. Final Fantasy fans love the music.
@Daniel J: implying that’s the only kind of games the systems have… I can name 7 million (lolno) games that aren’t FPSs for PS3 (don’t own a 360 though)
But yeah one of the reasons I love FF so much is because of the music. I seriously think it’s better than proper music :P I’d definitely buy this game.
Monster Hunter 3G probably reacted better than this at launch.. and we’re still not sure of any localization from MH.

I’m pretty sure anything with ‘Final Fantasy’ in the title will sell like crazy in Japan.
No Final Fantasy’s still big in Japan, just not on home consoles it would seem.
