I arrived in Tanzania on Saturday with folks from CBM Australia, an anti-poverty organisation that focuses on people with disabilities. You can watch the introduction video if you missed it. The above video, however, is a recap of the first day of real work in the country. We spent the day at CCBRT, a hospital that offers free health care to, in the words of Erwin, the hospital’s CEO, “the poorest of the poor”.

It’s ridiculous how these videos have no comments while a small bit of news for SSB has 75 comments already. There’s more important things in the world than video games. David you’re doing great things, screw the haters

This is an excellent thing you’re doing right now, David. If only more people were as giving as you seem to be. Then the world would be a lot less cruel than it really is. Keep up the good work.

By the way, is there anything you wanted to do down there that you couldn’t. And what kind of things are you hoping to accomplish personally when in Tanzania? I know you will be doing what you were sent there for, but is there anything you were hoping to accomplish while there?

I can’t wait to see what happens to the little boy with cataracts! I hope that they are able to restore his eyesight and hopefully you’ll have the opportunity to get some of that momentous occasion on film. The things you have done through this blog are nothing short of amazing and I’m sure you’ll continue to positively impact the world one blog at a time :)

most important story of the day! Thank you David! Great work and it’s appreciated more than you know. People NEED to be aware of more than what they think exists in their tiny little bubbles. And believe me, that includes myself.. we all do and it’s not easy to step outside our selfish lives and see just how some people struggle and how we pretty much take everything for granted!

      ^ True that.

I Wish I Could Help Like David Does!

Im gonna say what i believe alot of regular users of this blog are thinking. I didn’t search for this blog to see stories about charity work. I could say the politically correct thing and shower you with praise for the good work your doing and i realise there are more important things in this world than video games, but i came here to hear about the 3ds, i hear enough about the worlds problems daily, i came here to escape from real problems and enjoy video games for abit. i just believe there are more appropiate avenues to post this stuff and not a video game blog, thankyou
