There will be eight songs available as paid downloadable content for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy when it’s released, and a total of fifty songs over the course of the game’s existence. The initial songs, include:

  • Final Fantasy II – Battle Scene 1
  • Final Fantasy IV – The Final Battle
  • Final Fantasy XI – Fighters of the Crystal
  • Final Fantasy XIII – Fighting Fate
  • Final Fantasy V – In Search of Light
  • Final Fantasy VII – Cosmo Canyon
  • Final Fantasy VIII – Ride On
  • Final Fantasy X – Someday the Dream Will End

…and there’s a trailer after the break that’s focused on the DLC.

  • CrimsonalCore

Sorry, this is off-topic, but http://mynintendonews.com/2012/02/15/monster-hunter-tri-g-coming-to-the-west/

Monster Hunter Tri G is coming to west, huh…

    • Ataraxia

Old news, and it’s not confirmed, only hinted.

    • CrimsonalCore

@ Ataraxia Sorry, but that’s the first I’ve heard of, tbh.

  • Total911

I hate the fact that they’re releasing already finished content as DLC as soon a the game launches. What a shitload. Not that I’ll be buying this game, but I feel for the buyers of the game who could have had this included with the game they PAID FOR.

    • Gastrogenous

If you were actually informed before you post your rants you would know that they fitted every song they could into the game. That’s 70+ songs, so instead of leaving it like that you will be able to download songs that you were expecting but could’t be fit into the cart.

    • Total911

You do make a very good point, but revealing DLC so quickly is not very smart.

  • CrimsonalCore

And there better be my jam in it! D: I meant Eyes on Me~

  • http://nwvideo.net Lucas

    Why are we bitching?
Paid DLC will help this community with games in the future, so you don’t need to be such assholes about paid DLC. I think it is genius, and yes, i’ll be buying this game.

    • Total911

It’s not genius when the DLC is already finished and should be in the game. I love when they add new, extra content to the game as it ages to evolve it, but paid content that could have easily been thrown into the initial package is just for cash grabs.

    • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

i agree with adding it inside the game. not that i really care. but that dlc could just be like any other dlc. they make it, but doesnt reveal it until later, making look like it is new, when it was finished before the game released. just, this dlc, was revealed alittle too early.

you can only tell true dlc for bug and glitches fixes, problems or special occasions like being a 3ds ambassador, or new dlc for whats up to date. like right now if a meteor just passes earth and its like a major attraction, then they make some dlc related to what just happened. thats pretty much the only way to know true dlc. otherwise, all dlc can just be fake.

    • Beat

You’ll buy it, huh? It probably isn’t even coming anywhere except Japan…

    • http://gravatar.com/jacknzack27 JacknZack

How do you know he dosnt live in Japan or have a japanesse 3ds

  • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

so how much is for the 8 songs? not that i really care, just wondering is all.

    • CHW

$2 for 8 songs is very reasonable.

  • Henry Anderson

I’m okay with this. It’s a rhythm game. There should be some dlc when it launches. It’s like complaining that rockband has too much dlc.

  • http://www.youtube.com/user/Pokeneon7 Pokeneon7

I wouldn’t pay a dime for this game. No remixed music = laziness -__-

  • lizzie1238

When this comes to NA, I’m getting “Someday the dream will end”

  • MarioMaster 7

what? There are two of the same trailers, is there a difference between them two?

    • Big E

Thank god! I thought I was the only one who noticed.

  • Ewan

Really? No FFIX music? Gosh, but I would much prefer a game like this with ONLY FFIX music. Oh well.

    • Marquis

      This is only the DLC.
The songs included with the game will definitely have IX music, and I’m sure the DLC they haven’t revealed yet contains some more IX songs ;)

  • miiworld2

“Final Fantasy XIII – Fighting Fate”

Gosh, I hate that song. Bad memories of Barthandelus… x(

  • Soeroah

Oh they did NOT just make Zanarkand a DLC title.

    • lizzie1238

No, (To) Zanarkand is one of the standard songs, not DLC.

    • Soeroah

Thought I heard it in the trailer 32 seconds in?

    • Soeroah

Ah, got the name wrong. I wanted the Dream That Will End baseline, too x.x

  • asapisaiah

“Look, I learned the bass line to Final Fantasy II.”

    • Big E

There’s something wrong with that statement…WHICH SONG IS IT FROM SCOTT??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!!?!?

    • Kct16

      SHUT UP KIM! :p

  • Kct16

    One Winged Angel anyone?

    • lizzie1238

      It’s already in the game.

  • EpicLight*

Cosmo canyon and Ride on!!! Sold !

  • Dawsum

Too bad nobody cares about this game.

    • J

      LOL!XD
      You couldn’t be more wrong.

  • Robin

    Why do these games exist?!

    Who buys this crap?

    • Marquis

People who enjoy Rhythm Games and Nobuo Uematsu’s musical masterpieces?
      Don’t be so close-minded, dude.

  • lizzie1238
    • http://gravatar.com/elffcc Big E

At f1rst there were a lot of haters, but as time went by more and more people GLOBALLY wanted the game. Many people still do, more than you think (Especially me).

    • lizzie1238

I really hope the game comes to NA, I even had a dream about it!

  • Zimmer Remmiz

Hmm, well I’m glad that we will be able to get songs that didn’t fit on the cart, well I would be if there was a U.S. release announced, come on Square Enix!!!…

  • my hamster ate my dog and my nan is covered in strawberry jam and south american frog juice

This game looks poo and boring. I shall not be buying!

  • TheDarkHero

you guys need to think about the game card space.so many games in the serees so little space to put it all in. so stop the rant about DLC. 4 GB is too expensive + 2 GB too little ok
