Nintendo has released the launch trailer for Super Mario 3D Land. You can check it out after the break.

      Aren’t they supposed to be invincible? Bonzai Bills, not the smaller ones in 3D Mario games. not counting SMW

      @Ephraim Those are Bullet Bills. Banzai are more than 4 times the size of a Bullet Bill.

      They are 4 times bigger, but bullet bills are approx. the size of Mario. Those were banzai bills.

    It’s safe to say that the Tanooki Suit transformation is Mario’s Bankai.

      Yeah, they really want to emphasize that suit. Too bad it doesn’t look like any other power-ups will be utilizing Mario’s rolling (or something: to give them a boost).

      From what I can tell, the reason for so much empasis is because they’re making it seem like SMG. By that I mean the ability to spin: the main mechanic of that game. The Tanooki suit retains this and the ability to float (it’s an extra “jump” in SMG). So it’s used to spin cogs, it has an extra attack, and it probably has another function I don’t know (other than turning to stone). In a way, this is a portable SMG.

    It just got even better. 0.0 They should stop spoiling the game like this, but then again I might not have been going gaga for it. This game is gonna be loaded!

      I know you like talking about this and other in-game stuff, but how much of the game have you actually seen without playing? Don’t say anything that ruins surprises.

      I won’t say anything else, but if anyone is curious to know all the levels in the game they’re listed on Mario Wiki, the site where i got this picture. Also, other than Dry Bowser there is really nothing else i’ve spoiled about this game. I’m also sorry if anyone found my posts about Dry Bowser annoying, it’s just that he is the coolest villain in the Mario series in my opinion, much scarier and evil looking than when he has his skin.

      Tanoomba, (a goomba with a tanooki tail in disguise) not bowser. They have the ability to transform: http://www.mariowiki.com/Tanoomba

      First appeared in M&L: Superstar Saga and showed up in the sequal Partners in Time.

    Totally getting this, but I hope they work on another Mario epic next, like Sunshine, 64, or Galaxy.

      Sunshine is my favorite Mario game… a sequel for the 3DS would probably cause me to splooge everywhere and then go into a coma caused by overexcitement… in other words I WANT.

    What? I remember in an interview a long time ago someone said that some of the functions of the tanooki suit were taken out, like the ability to turn into a statue, but there it is.

      There’s a different suit. Its a grey super leaf (or it may be called a stone leaf) that gives Mario the ability to turn into stone. He’s wearin a red neckerchief to show the difference. I wish they just kept racoon Mario instead of Mario in a tanooki with or without a neckerchief.

    Went and paid down the money I still owed on my copy today.. Now I’ve just got to go pick it up Sunday and enjoy!! I’m so stoked for it, especially after reading some reviews.

    I can’t find this on the eshop!
    I try searching: Super Mario 3D Land launch trailer, but it won’t let me because of length. It only lets me type Super Mario 3D Land Trail. I also tried Super Mario 3D Land Launch Video, Super Mario 3D Land Release Trailer and Super Mario 3D Land Release Video, but all are too long!

      oh and @hi You can go to the 3ds games catagory and click on super mario 3d land, then you click on the video button and you select the video and you watch it! Whoah! that was a lot!
