The latest screenshots (and a trailer) for Super Mario 3D Land

Nintendo has shared a bunch of screenshots and a new trailer for Super Mario 3D Land. You can find it all after the break. The release date is confirmed to be the 13th of November.

      Yo, David! Four Swords has been announced to be released on September 28th. Not sure if that date is Japan only, but I think it’s something to let everyone know to look out for. Sorry for sticking this in the form of a reply, but it was the only way I could post on my phone.

      you use gyroscope controls for the cannon and also in the second screenshot marios walking torwards a telescope which will also use the gyroscope

    Did anyone notice Mario’s shadow on the main title picture? Look at his shadow and you’ll see he’s in a suit even though he himself is in regular clothing.
    I’m sure they did it purposely, but it’s something interesting to point out.

    Nintendo, Nintendo. They always make awesome games! I love how much love the 3DS is getting it’s insane! It’s not about realistic graphics, or guns. Nearly every game on other consoles involve guns, clearly Nintendo are doing without guns, and their games are the most fun out of all. Even though I don’t have a 3DS, Vita has got nothing on it! I love the colourfulness of Nintendo games. Sure the realistic graphic games are fun sometimes, but they overload us with hundreds of them. A game is not a movie.

    It’s Strange that in both pic 3 & 7 it says “world 2 – 3″ Also i saw a picture with koopas in a forest on the japanese website and that looked awesome!

    Seriously though, I wasn’t sold on this before, it looked bland and uninspired. It missed that Nintendo magic. They’ve polished it up with some special effects and whatnot and it looks great now. We’ve seen more variety in the environments as well so I’m really hyped about this game at the moment =) I noticed that they improved the textures to give the game a more detailed look. The Goombas look different in colour now, a paler brown and they have animated faces! The level select screen looks sweet. Argh I just need this now lol. My 3DS needs to flex its muscles. It’s practically got rheumatism right now. I still think they could make the backdrops look better though. They still look kind of empty and desolate. I want to see some movement in the background. Does anyone know if the soundtrack will be fully orchestrated?
