There’s the first video of F1 2011 on the 3DS. But, what’s odd is that, almost as soon as the racing starts, it cuts off, giving us only a very short glimpse at the game. Either way though, it’s the best we have for now.

  • Pizzakoe

Yuck, look at those wheels, talking ’bout ugly game…

    • Matthew

      Agreed.

  • Matthius

Looks pretty fun! Might pick this up after mario kart 7 if it has 8 player online!

  • 3DS original buyer

Man the 3DS software lineup is legendarily bad…….I am not even going to throw in a pro Vita rant but damn…..the 3DS is such a disappointment. Nintendo really doesn’t care about its consumers.

    • Belinni

      *Looks at his name*
      Hmm… Seems Legit!

    • I AM A 3DS BUYER ALSO

YES I AGREE I SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON IT AND IT SUCKS

      derp derp derp

    • pissoff5000

It’s not Nintendo’s fault that the 3rd party publishers are releasing piss poor titles! Get your facts straight.

    • itzamufin

obviously kid icarus super mario 3d land mario kart 7 monster hunter 3 and 4 and a new rumered 3ds zelda game are awful games rite?

    • dubYA

Because Nintendo is making this game right?

Seriously, the software lineup was mediocre, but the best titles thus far have come from Ninty themselves. Third party developers, excluding Capcom and a few others, totally dropped the ball when Nintendo passed it to them, but I digress.

On the bright side, the upcoming games lineup looks legendarily awesome and includes many of the titles that drove me to purchase the system at launch. The future looks good.

      -Super Mario 3D Land
      -Mario Kart 7
      -Cave Story 3D
      -Kid Icarus Uprising
      -Paper Mario
      -Resident Evil Revelations
-Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D
      -Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance
      -Luigi’s Mansion 2
      -Sonic Generations
      -Rayman Origins
      -Fire Emblem
      -Animal Crossing
      -Tekken 3D
      -Monster Hunter Tri G (Maybe)
      -Monster Hunter 4 (Also maybe)
      -Ace Combat 3D
      -Zone of the Enders 3DS
      -Tetris Axis
      -Beyond the Labyrinth
      -Bravely Default

And those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Also, if Nintendo really doesn’t care about their consumers, then why was nearly half of the software on my 3DS’s home screen given to me free of charge? I’m diggin’ the hell out of Four Swords right now.

    • Shuga

Zone Of the Enders is not on the 3DS… And the line up im waiting ;)

    • http://HerpDerp.net I Got it on Day 1 Fool

MAN THIS SYSTEM I DROPPED MONEY ON HAS NO FUN GAEMS. I AM DISAPPOINT.

Even though they gave me ten free NES games, and I’m still getting ten free GBA games I will complain MOAR.

I hate that Ocarina of Time got a rerelease. And Starfox just blows. Oh, and I’m not looking forward to such gems like MK7 and Super Mario Land 3D, hecks no! Why would I like stuff like that?
Monster Hunter and Kingdom Hearts? BAH.
Oh, and SCREW Resident Evil, I mean, UGH.

Can I have some cheese with my whine pl0x?

    • swa

The launch line-up sucked alright, and there’s still no good game available that isn’t a remake. I think there will be great titles in the long term, but the long term part also sucks.

    • sam3ds

Uh, The lineup actually looks pretty cool.

      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YtKaesDQiw&feature=channel_video_title

Check it out! This was released 4 days ago!

    • http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/16a07c1e06c4010a42f31cc4d1a0702d?s=80 ABEzilla116

Yup Belinni that seems legit as hell…

    • Gemma

      Don’t forget Time Travellers! :)

    • 3DS original buyer

The software on your screen was given to you for free because Nintendo had to admit that it overcharged your ass. As for all of those games you listed, THEY AREN’T OUT YET! Keep waiting because waiting is sooooo fun. Nintendo doesn’t give a damn about who buys there systems. Just look at the Wii, Nintendo won’t localize some great titles from Japan because they don’t give a damn about the Wii anymore. They are just getting the WiiU ready so they can scam you fanboys some more. I am just a frustrated consumer who purchased a Wii at launch and a 3DS….deff not doing the same with the Wii U…….

    • http://www.yahoo.com GameManiac

You also forgot Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney.

      Can’t have that now.

    • Toby

I really don’t think you actually bought the 3DS. If you were a good consumer (and I’m guessing you would say that) then you’d probably have known the launch line-up before launch anyway, if you didn’t like what you saw then why did you buy it?
The Vita is cool, the 3DS is cool. They are both cool in different ways and to different people, you’re some what odd attempt to warn people about buying a Nintendo console because they “don’t care about [their] consumers” just isn’t going to change anybody’s mind, you just look like an annoying troll to be honest.

    • theninwii

you cant blame nintendo for bad 3rd party line up. nintendo only approves them, they do not make them. blame the 3rd parties for being sucky

    • Belinni

Now that the Vita has been brought up again, what games have been officially announced to be available at launch?

Because whenever I ask that question everyone bombards me with games that are being made but not actually finished!

That’s like back when everyone thought Mario Kart 7, Paper Mario, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil Revelations, Saints Row, Megaman Legends, etc. would be out by launch!

    • Mike

@theninwii I’m a Nintendo fanboy through and through and i agree, you can’t blame Nintendo for making these crappy games, but they can be blamed for approving it. I mean don’t they see how bad they are? It’s like they’re just giving out the Nintendo seal of quality to anyone who asks for it. This is also why i barely buy any third party games, but i am thinking about getting Aliens: Colonial Marines on Wii U though, it looks really good.

    • Belinni

@3DS original buyer I’d assume you have a preorder for the PSVita and yet you say Nintendo is overcharging our asses?

The 3DS can do things the Wii and the DS couldn’t do together, the PSVita is just a slightly weaker PS3 that you can take on the go but can’t play with for as long, unless you are at home playing while you charge it but then what’s the point of having a weaker PS3 right next to your epic PS3?

Also from what I’ve seen they haven’t really made the thing resistant to falls of over 10 centimeters. What’s the point of paying extra to have a watered down version of a console that already exists?

If all else fails I really do hope the PSVita comes with a scratch resistant screen, that bugged me the most out of my old PSP. That feature alone would almost guarantee a purchase from me within the next 2 years.

    • pissoff5000

@”I Got it on Day 1 Fool”

Your taste in games just out right sucks! Get a life you complaining noob!

    • Xarreno

      @pissoff5000

Its just a troll trollin’, pay no heed in his/her words.

    • dubYA

      @Shuga http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/16/hideo-kojima-tweets-zoe-3ds-logo/

@pissoff5000 You fail. ‘I Got it on Day 1 Fool’ was clearly being sarcastic…

      @3DS original buyer

First of all, I wouldn’t have bought the 3DS at launch if I didn’t think it was worth the $250. For me, the price was justified by the new features, the built in software and especially the excellent games in development. Yeah, I’m still waiting for the best games, but there’s only a month to go. Until then, I have plenty of games to bide my time.

Really, Nintendo didn’t have to give us early adopters anything after the price drop, but they did and then some, and I, for one, am fine with what’s been given to me. Also, what did Sony do for it’s consumers after shaving a whopping $300 off of the PS3′s initial price point? Oh yeah… Nothing.

  • Xarreno

You know, Even though F1 stands for Formula 1, when I look at that boxart it is totally just screaming “Fuck YEAH!! I’m numbah 1!”

    • Mike

I saw your message in my friend list and i’m wondering, how the hell did you manage to beat the Hero’s Trial in Four Swords!?!?!?!? IT’S SO HARD!!!!

    • Xarreno

^Mike, well first off I’m gonna tell you that the hero’s trail (even though it can be played as multiplayer) it is far easier in single player. Here’s some tips that should probably help:

      1) Have the Master Sword, it is necessary in my opinion. (you can get it by beating the realm of memories but getting 30,000 rupees or 5 medals opens the hero’s trial before then).

      2) Keep your distance. To prevent damage to yourself and so you can use the master sword.

      3) When getting past each section, you should always have at least 2,000 rupees. You especially need it for the last part of each section.

      4) You’re partner is your friend. When in rooms swarmmed with enemies, leave you’re partner inactive and somewhere safe so you can safely “teleport” from danger.

      5) Take you’re time. It isn’t good to waste hearts falling off of ledges (due to ice), into steam jets, or down holes.

      6) Watch what treasure chests give you. In the hero’s trial, they don’t necessarily give you enough bushes for hearts, but treasure chests do. When you get a heart from a chest, the ones around it are most likely hearts too.

      7) The “Iron Knuckles” of this games (blue cape and shield; can block most attacks) are the hardest to fight and should always be dealt with last. Other enemies are faster and attack more often than them, so deal with them first. They also don’t bother you unless you’re within proximity, so step 4 helps.

      8) To fight “Iron Knuckles”, either run away and attack them from behind once they swing their swords (this is harder to do in groups and results in you getting hurt), “teleport” to attack them from behind when their open, or keep swinging and precisely distance yourself to prevent damage (probably the easiest manuever).

      9) Your sword can fend off most attacks and all projectiles (except electricity, fire [I think], and the ball n’ chain knight).

      11) Defeat most enemies. Instead of flinging them off ledges (unless they’re too much of a nuissance) kill them because the harder ones tend to give 20 rupees and above.

      10) The very last trial is an endurance test (section 3 part 3). You need steps 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8 for this one.

I think I covered most of it, so these tips should get you farther. :)

    • Mike

I was about to beat the first level of the Hero’s Trial and i didn’t die that much and i had about 3,000 Rupees. then i got a game over from a group of iron knuckles in a relatively small space so i couldn’t really keep my distance, you know the part i’m talking about? i think they’re the last enemies you fight before you get a key to the exit, i was soooooo pissed…… also the Master Sword barely helps me cause when i enter these kinds of fights i more than likely take damage and can’t use it.

    • Elcric

OR just play with a friend that has done all that

    • Xarreno

      @Mike

Okay, the master sword isn’t really for them, but the rest of the enemies before you get that far. As for spacing, its tricky. Slicing wildly helps to keep them at bay, but remember to “teleport” (switch partners) and try to take them on one by one if you can. Never get caught in a corner because that will probably be the end of you. Once again, for the spacing: I suggest you slice as they’re slicing. That’s what I mean by spacing, if you’re too close you knock them away before they can actually hit you. At the right distance though, your sword won’t hit their shield first and instead hit their body as they are about to swing. I say its the easiest to do because all you have to do is slice wildly sometimes.

  • rulerofyourface

That actually looks quite fun if you wanna be completely honest. Way better than Photo Finish… piece a crap

    • Holonboy

Considering that Photo Finish was made by a company that’s almost small enough to be considered an indie development team….

  • htc

    Hmm Idk.

  • Holonboy

Doesn’t really look that bad, but I’ll stick to Mario Kart 7.

  • EnterTheNoodle

    HOLY SHIT THEM GRAPHICS

  • MeaningOfLife

    The graphics are at best….decent.

    • brendon lewis

decent these are poor for 3ds standards

    • Belinni

Look decent enough for a first outing to me. If you want to see poor by 3DS standards just look for Gabriella’s Ghostly Groove, or every game brought out so far by Ubisoft onto the system (though Rabbids Through Time was a bit fun).

  • randomguy

    one big MEH.

  • Chris

It looks like shit! 3rd party developers don’t seem to take 3DS hardware seriously :(

    • 3dspwnage

Have you seen the trailer for the vita f1? Looks like crap too! Obviously their not putting a lot of work into the portable versions, no matter what platform.

    • Shatgan

Then again no one takes the 3ds hardware seriously, i mean the 3ds console is pretty much mediocre the only good thing is the 3d, not talking about the games ofcourse, just the portable.

  • Matthew

one more month til mario •◘•

  • Squish

*Spazzes out at the mentioning of mario*

  • imchonny

    motion control??

    • DeRaza360

      doubt it.

  • Toad King

Dude looks so happy he’s on the 3DS.

  • Michael M

    3 words
    Mario Kart 7.
    That is all

    • PixelKnot93

It’s a shame that Nintendo fans have to rely only on Mario Kart for racing games for their handheld. It happened with the DS and will happen with the 3DS again.

    • SkaPunkMan89

No it just that, sadly, most people (primarily Nintendo fans) could care less for Need for Speed 3DS or games like that because Mario Kart is too kick ass. I have to say though, Need For Speed 3DS does look nice. This game (F1 2011) looks pretty horrendous right now, but it’s probably too early in development to make a final judgement.

    • http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/16a07c1e06c4010a42f31cc4d1a0702d?s=80 ABEzilla116

I liked need for speed most wanted… if they made another game like that I’d get it.mk7 :D

  • PixelKnot93

The Vita version is pretty bad.

    But this looks worse.

    • Mucrush

They’re both and the only handheld games… what do you compare them to? O_o

  • alpha3ds

A 3D trailler would help me figure if it’s worth the time.
I dont know how the hell you guys manage to say such bad things about a game and a developer based only on a bad quality and small video o.Ô

  • Peyton

Kinda cool, I miiiight get it if it is 20 $ one day …

  • Dennis

Another race game, i dont like formula 1 =/

    But the game is good.

  • navo
    • Mucrush

I think it looks good :D

    • Yanikun

It looks totally on par with the PS Vita version.

    • Matt

I think this version is better than F1 ’09 Wii/psp/iphone, but it looks worse compared to psvita one… In particular the physic engine can be better, collisions between cars and the movement of the wheels are not very realistic…

  • UMAR64DD
  • flash

This was recorded in Madrid’s Gamefest and you weren’t allowed to record so that is why the clip is so short. And if you understand spanish, they are saying, hide the camera! hide the camera! so i suppose they were caught or something like that xD
