The box art for Kingdom Hearts 3D

Square Enix has tweeted the above box art for Kingdom Hearts 3D. It’d look better without the overly complicated logo, I think, but the art itself is fantastic.

    Well, there not gonna change the logo just for the 3DS box art, that’s always been the KH logo, and if you ask me it looks good. Very Japanese, that’s not bad thing! It does look gorgeous, the artwork I mean :D

      Dude, the Wii U is going to suck. It’s just a wii with better graphics and an iPad attached. Why couldn’t they just system update and allow for purchase of the new controller as an add on? This isn’t innovation, it’s layering. I think we need a REAL new home console.

      we only heard very litle about the wii u, but developers are going crazy about the new nintendo system. with the 2 screens we can do so much more. someone actually counted how many new way of gameplay it adds. he counted around 150 new ways of gaming. it will have around the same graphics as the new xbox720. but everything will be revealed at this year E3

      I didn’t know the WiiU had better graphics than the Wii. I thought it had a better graphics engine…That’s literally what every home console is every “generation”: a console with a better graphics engine and more horsepower than the last.

    Although I think this box art looks AWESOME, I just don’t really get it.
    So you’ve got three characters randomly floating in the sky. What’s that supposed to mean? I just think they should have made the art reflect what the game is about more. And the bright blue sky also doesn’t really fit the style of the game, from what I’ve seen. I was hoping for something more dark.

      “Darkness becomes light, light falls into darkness” is the theme of the game, so Sora falling makes sense.
      Also, Sora means “sky” in japanese.

      To add on to what vakundekel said, it also features falling deeper within a dream (in a trailer/preview, Sora feels sleepy even though he’s already dreaming). Dreams within dreams, so to speak. The clouds represent the dream probably (if not the Sora/”sky”) and as for the falling… you know.

      Well the reason i LOVE KH is because it has a lot of symbolism. We probably wont know the reason until we play the game.
      Theory
      probably (from the trailer) sora goes to the world of darkness or somewhat like that (the part when sora wakes up in a dark place) and mickey is trying to help sora. The sky can represent the dream (dream clouds) and the reason why riku is not upside down because he is the opposite of Sora (yin and yang and how opposites help each other) . im just saying

      my friend theroized that the entire series is a dream and at the end of kh3 sora will open his eyes in his room and hear his mom say “sora! time for dinner” just like she was calling him in the original kh

      Concept trailer, has nothing to do with the actual game. I believe we also aren’t fighting Twilight Thorn in Traverse Town, and several parts of that trailer were lifted from Re:Coded’s ending.

      Don’t expect all those scenes to be in the final game.

    If I would interpret the art, it says that Sora is falling into a deep slumber and Mickey’s trying to save him, then Riku dreams what could be happening to his friends especially Sora, he doesn’t know what’s happening to them as they went through different dimensions.
