What is snakin?
Snaking is the ability to slide back and forth down the track using mini turbos to remain at top speed. It was originally introduced in MK DS because of the new boost system (only press left and right on the D-pad 4 times for a full boost while drifting). The karts that displayed this phenominal power had high mini turbos and handling. Which would be the Dry Bomber (Dry Bones Tank) and the Egg 1 (Yoshi’s Egg).
They supposedly fixed this problem with MK Wii, but I disagree with that. Snaking is in MK Wii, it’s just useless because the Bikes and the wheelies are so much better. In MK Wii, mini turbos are obtained with turning more. The more you curve, the faster it charges. This concept was brought over to MK 7 to be fair to everyone, but guess what? Snaking still exists and it works! Just with a half mini turbo instead of the full one. It sucks, doesn’t it… :p DX

Do you play Kingdom Hearts? From what I’ve seen, Xenoblade (now called Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii) is an action JRPG. Meaning, realtime battles with leveling up. Your partners even attack on their own when enemies are within proximity. I don’t know why you wouldn’t pick it up if it’s like KH (unless to don’t like the KH series).
Come Monday and I’ll be joining this group too. I hope snaking will be frowned upon.

I was looking on MK7 website about the characters… it seems that you get different stats depending on what characters you choose.
Like it said that Mario is a well rounded racer while Donkey Kong has slow acceleration but has a really good max speed. And my favorite character Yoshi has good top acc/speed and control XD

Just looked it up, and my local GameStop is opening at 10:00, not 11:00 :) Weird, when i went to pick up Super Mario 3D Land it wasn’t open at 10:00 and i had to wait an hour, maybe because it’s the holiday season they’re opening earlier?

Yes, this has been great fun so far. Currently I’m 4th in 3DS Blog Community! I doubt I’ll be able to get into the top 3 because they’re quite a bit ahead, but I will try. I’m really glad you made this, been great fun, very active now too, getting a game with 4+ people extremely quickly.
And anyone who is quitting mid-game, may I ask why? You don’t lose anything for coming last, in fact, you win points and coins if you stay to the end. There’s really no point in quitting!

I was just playing online with shyguy in the mario kart 64 kart and I was owning everyone I faced

i have looked online for a solution and they say its because of server overloads. but how come not many other people are getting it. by the way, do you have a belkin router. because belkin are known for online issue’s.

Stephen I found the solution on a website.
Heres what I found.
You will need to obtain your 3DS’s IP address by accessing your router. You do this by entering your router’s IP address in the address bar of your internet browser.
You will find your DS IP address when you check the connected devices in your router settings. Probably under DHCP.
IP address will be the same as your router IP apart from the last bit e.g if your router ip is 192.168.2.1 your ds ip might be 192.168.2.4 depending on how many devices you have connected to your router.
Once you know the 3DS IP, click on DMZ menu option. Enable DMZ and enter the 3DS’s IP.
All should be good. From the research I have done this is a common problem with belkin routers.
