Pink 3DS XL 1

Nintendo has confirmed that a completely-pink 3DS XL is coming to the United Kingdom on the 31st of May, 2013. Japan might get the coolest (and sheer volume) of colours and combinations, but at least the rest of the world hasn’t been completely forgotten.

For the moment, we’re only sure that Fire Emblem: Awakening is coming to the 3DS outside of Japan at some point during 2013. Zavvi.com, however, has listed the game for release on the 25th of January in the United Kingdom, perhaps providing us with a sense of when it will be released. If other retailers start listing the date, there might be something to it.

Nintendo of Europe has confirmed via Nintendo Direct that New Super Mario Bros 2. will be available in the United Kingdom on the 17th of August. This is two days before it will be available in North America.

If you live in the United Kingdom and you’ve picked up a copy of Mario Tennis Open (or plan to do so within the next week), make sure you register the game via Club Nintendo. They’re holding a promotion that will grant you with an extra 250 stars if you register the game before May 28th. That’s twice the usual amount of stars, and that’s a pretty darn good deal, so go and grab it if you can.

Nintendo of Europe has announced they will be holding a Yoshi Hunt for Mario Tennis Open in the UK. The hunt will involve tracking down QR codes that will unlock different-colored, playable Yoshi characters in Mario Tennis Open. The hunt will begin on the 25th of May with the Black Yoshi QR code.
