Level 5′s Time Travelers features a mechanic known as “Playing Cinema Event”, although it’s just a fancier name for quick-time events. These allows you to control a character’s actions by pressing buttons in time with on-screen prompts. The situations this system is used for ranges from simple tasks like pressing the A button to make a character laugh correctly to more difficult tasks like pressing a variety of buttons to help your character fight off an assailant. The official Time Travelers site has been updated, revealing a feature known as “Time Stop”. This allows you to stop and reverse the flow of time, which can be used to make a different choice in the story or even to jump to one of the other five different scenarios in the game to alter events that have already happened. One example given of how “Time Stop” can be utilized has you using the feature to go backwards in time in a different scenario to prevent the death of one of the main characters.
