It was revealed within an interview that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy has over seventy playable songs. But, Square Enix does plan to release over fifty songs as paid, downloadable content (a process which is already moving forward). The game is confirmed to run at sixty frames per second (even with 3D enabled), although this is lessened to thirty frames per second during event music stages (“because of the need to output video”).

It’s also mentioned that, when playing mutliplayer mode, players are rewarded based on the performance of the best player in the group. This would allow someone who is not good at the game to receive better items by playing with someone who is good at the game.

The latest issue of Famitsu magazine has confirmed that, in regards to the DLC program for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, there will be 8 songs available for purchase when it launches in Japan. The songs will cost ¥150 each, or about $1.95. There will be new songs every two or three weeks from both the numbered and non-numbered Final Fantasy games.

It has been revealed that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy features a place known as Chaos Temple that allows you to play the game with up to three friends. In the Chaos Temple you can earn experience, find rare items, and battle various Superbosses from the Final Fantasy series such as Omega, Shinryu, and Ultima Weapon.

It has been revealed that in Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, Kain Highwind, Sephiroth, and Cosmos can be unlocked as sub-characters in the game. There will be also be a card-collecting aspect to the game, with eighty-one cards in total, with three different versions of each card for one to collect.

A retailer display box for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy in Japan has revealed the game will be receiving paid downloadable content after it’s released. There will also be support for the ‘Nintendo Network’, but we’re not sure what this is at the moment. It’s speculated to be “a new online initiative”, but that’s only based on the name.
