SEGA has revealed that Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure will launch in Japan on January 19th. Also revealed is that, in the game, you are able to collect medals by clearing rhythm games and by checking suspicious places. These medals allow you to buy cutscenes you’ve previously seen and items to help you out in the game. You’ll also be able to challenge your friends through a local wireless connection and through Download Play. You can check after the break for lots of screenshots.

SEGA has released a web demo of Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure. The web demo is in Japanese and only contains one challenge, but is easy enough to figure out and is very fun. You can click here to check out the demo yourself.

SEGA has shared the first teaser trailer for their newly titled rhythm adventure game, Rhythm Thief & The Emperor’s Treasure. The trailer doesn’t show much in terms of gameplay but it does reveal the game is set for an early 2012 release in both North America and Europe.
