Important: The stream begins at 7am Pacific Time. You can find the streams for Europe and Japan embedded after the break.

We’re on the verge of what we excitedly wait for each year: Nintendo’s announcements from E3. They might not be having a traditional, major press conference like previous years, but they are hosting a Nintendo Direct broadcast for us to watch. You can visit e3.nintendo.com to check it out when it starts three hours from now.

All of the news will be posted to this blog and the YouTube channel, and also feel free to talk about it on the forums. We have a very interesting few days ahead of us. Strap yourselves in and get ready for the ride.

Nintendo isn’t hosting a regular press conference at this year’s E3, but they are hosting a Nintendo Direct broadcast in its place. And luckily, Nintendo has confirmed that this event will last for a full hour as could have been expected from a regular press conference. To enjoy a countdown to the event, feel free to check out Nintendo’s official website for E3 by visiting e3.nintendo.com.

Smash Bros

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted a risky rumour, so before we continue: this is a rumour. It might be completely false. Since we’re on the verge of E3 though, it’s the perfect time for this sort of thing.

And with that out of the way…

This particular user has shared a bunch of apparent details about the Nintendo Direct broadcast that Nintendo will host on the 11th of June. As will most definitely be the case, the event will focus on the Wii U, but there is some talk of Smash Bros. Apparently, here’s what we can expect:

  • The unveiling will be “odd” (although personally, none of this sounds strange to me). A trailer will be shown confirming some of the roster, while showing a lot of other characters in silhouette. “The full roster will be gradually unveiled from now till release.”
  • Release period is announced for “Thanksgiving 2014″.
  • 3DS version is further ahead than the Wii U version, but both will launch alongside each other. (Or at least, that’s the plan.)

You can see the full quote from the NeoGAF user after the break. Just keep in mind, it’s all a rumour (and a flaky one at that).

(And if you missed the stream because of me not posting it to the blog, then I apologise. I’m still traveling at the moment and it’s giving me an odd schedule.)

Nintendo has confirmed that the next Nintendo Direct broadcast is on the 17th of April (this Wednesday). It’ll be completely focused on the 3DS, which means we should get a healthy dose of release dates and footage. It’s happening at the following, simultaneous times:

  • 7am PST
  • 10am EST
  • 3pm in the UK

I’ll place the stream on the blog before it begins.
