Nano Assault EX is available now on the 3DS via the eShop, and the folks at Nintendo World Report have said in their review that the game is “fantastic”, and “it’s the definitive version of an already great game, and on that basis alone, it’s worth your attention”. And this is basically just another chance for me to say how fond I am of Nano Assault in general.
Nano Assault, one of the prettiest games to arrive on the 3DS, has received a price drop. It now costs only $19.99 and may be worth picking up. It’s sitting at a respectable 73/100 on Metacritic and, while that may not be a super high rating, for the price it appears to be a good deal.
Here’s how the game is described in the press release:
Nano Assault enables players to shoot their way through 32 twisted cell stages and dark worlds filled with rugged landscapes that adjust in difficulty based upon the player’s skill level. Take on and defeat extreme nemeses including the Black Nucleus, Hyper Blobs and Spore Plants using powerful beams, energetic bombs and other unlockable assault weapons.

Nano Assault, one of the prettiest games for the 3DS has been delayed. There is no new release date yet either. But, seeing as Nintendo Power has reviewed the game, it doesn’t sound like they’re still working on it, but are worried it wouldn’t sell amongst alongside titles like Super Mario 3D Land and Mario Kart 7.
Update: It is now confirmed the game will arrive on December 5th.
As always, Nano Assault is absolutely beautiful. There’s a few new screenshots after the break that will surely make you drool. Seriously, so pretty!
