When it was announced that Smash Bros. would be co-developed with Namco Bandai, many assumed the game would include characters from the Tekken franchise. But Katsuhiro Harada has said that:

The fans, rather than asking about Tales or Gundam, or some of our other franchises, the fans abroad saw Tekken as one of the key words and took off on that.

…and:

We’re not really sure at this moment but when thinking of the player-base who is playing Smash Bros, maybe Tekken characters is something they wouldn’t want, so I’ve been pulling back on that a bit. But I don’t know.

It’s something I want. But maybe I’m not the average portion of the player-base.

FLCL (pronounced “Fooly Cooly” in English) is an anime I have absolutely no familiarity with, but there’s a rumour that Nacmo Bandai may be working on a game based on the franchise. We do know they’re working on a large amount of titles, so maybe this is one of them? Wait and see, of course. That’s all we can do.

Namco Bandai has revealed they intend to release fifteen titles for the 3DS in 2012. On one hand, it’s nice they’re supporting the platform. On the other, that’s more than one game per month. It’s a bit excessive. But let’s hope my ambivalence is misplaced though.

A listing for a Dragon Ball-related game on the 3DS has appeared on Namco Bandai’s official website. We’re not sure what it could be, but this is either a data entry mistake, or something to look forward too. Let’s hope it’s the latter, and let’s hope it doesn’t take long before I can talk more about it.

Capcom, SEGA and Namco Bandai are working together on a mystery project for the 3DS. The teaser website was updated with chromosomes associated with each company, and these chromosomes appear to be related to individual characters from each company (one of them could be connected with Bayonetta, for instance). In the past few hours, the website was updated again with two new chromosomes attached to each company.

There was also a light added to the top left corner of the website. Based on the amount of lights that can fit in this section and the rate at which these lights are being “switched on”, it seems that the game will be unveiled on April 11th. You can click here to see the website, or follow this thread at NeoGAF for the speculation.
