Monster Hunter 4 was supposed to be released before the end of March 2013, but Capcom has revealed in their latest earnings forecast that it “has been pushed back to the next fiscal year in order to further raise the quality of the game”. So while the delay is unfortunate, at least we’ll get a better game out of it.
The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Monster Hunter 4 features a status ailment known as the Crazed Dragon virus which is transmitted to the player when attacked by an infected Tigrex monster. The virus will affect the player’s recovery rate, but fortunately it can be cured by attacking the infected Tigrex. Famitsu also revealed that there will be a new monster species in the game known as the Goa Magara which can use a special powder in order to track the player.

It’s been revealed that King of Pirates and Monster Hunter 4 will be playable at Jump Festa in Japan. The event itself will take place from December 22nd to December 23rd, so we should get some footage of the games at that time.
