Metal Gears Solid: Snake Eater 3D didn’t impress me a whole lot when I played it at E3. Even so, the reviews from EDGE and Nintendo Power are very positive, perhaps making it more worthy of attention that I thought.
EDGE rated the game with a 8/10 and said the following:
Packed with detail, both in terms of it’s environments and mechanics, this is a game that pays back investment in spades. MGS3 is a moden classic – the tighest, smartest and most emotional journey in the series – and even the HD update doesn’t look as good as this portable treatment.
Nintendo Power rated the game with a 9/10 and said the following:
A phenomenal game. Almost nothing was sacrificed in bringing the title to the Nintendo 3DS; from the opening scene to the powerful ending, every character model and every bit of excellent voice acting is intact, and the production values are sky-high.

Konami has confirmed the demo Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is coming eShop in North America on Thursday. The game will launch on February 21st in North America and March 8th in Europe and Australia.
The demo for Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be launching in Europe and Australia this week, arriving in both regions on Thursday. The demo will work with the Circle Pad Pro, so you’ll be able to use the enhanced controls if you have the accessory. There’s no word if the demo arrives in North America this week.

Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be launching on the 8th of March in Australia. This makes it a simultaneous launch with Europe. The game arrives in North America on February 21st.
