Update: The list in the original post wasn’t complete. It only listed the newer tracks that had been confirmed. It has now been updated with every track.

The official site for Mario Kart 7 has been updated with footage of the Shell, Banana and Leaf Cup courses as well as footage of the battle courses. You can click here check out all the videos for yourself.
Update: The footage is now embedded after the break.

We heard that Nintendo will be at the LA Auto Show, but we’re not sure why. The reason is still a mystery, but it has been confirmed that Reggie Fils-Aime will hosting the planned presentation there, and that Nintendo will be collaborating on something with West Coast Customs (the stars of Pimp My Ride). It’d be odd if this wasn’t related to Mario Kart 7, but what exactly do you reckon it could be?

Retro Studios was involved with the development of Mario Kart 7. Just in case you were curious what their exact role was, Hideki Konno revealed that he “asked them to collaborate with us on aspects like course and character design. The course designers and artists at both EAD and Retro Studios worked closely together to create what I consider to be very prolific and high-quality work.”

In an unexpected turn of events, Mario Kart 7 will be available in Australia on December 3rd. This means it’s coming out right in the middle of it’s release in other regions. Usually we get left behind with this sort of stuff but, for this game at least, this is not the case, so hooray for that.
