Nintendo gave hundreds of 3DS units to the Louvre in Paris to be used as audio guides when exploring the museum. If you’re not planning on heading to Paris in the near future though, then feel free to live vicariously through Shigeru Miyamoto. Starting in March 2012, Nintendo will be providing the Louvre with five thousand 3DS units that visitors can rent and use to better experience the French museum. Each 3DS will be loaded with special itineraries, audio-tours in seven different languages and custom, Nintendo-made software. We’re not sure exactly what the purpose of this software is though. An easy guess would be that it’s educational though.
