Yesterday we reported that Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D had been delayed in Europe, and now we can confirm that it will also be delayed in North America. We won’t be seeing the game until sometime in 2012.

Update: There seems to be confusion around this story. This delay specifically applies to Europe and Australia, but Konami is keeping their mouths shut about other regions. Here’s what 1up reports:

As the news of a Snake Eater 3D delay originally came from Kotaku Australia, we checked with Konami to see if the delay also applies for North America and were told a release date has yet to be announced for the region. Hopefully we receive clarification soon.

Konami has revealed that Metal Gear Solid has been moved back from a 2011 release to an early 2012 release date in Europe. It’s also mentioned that Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights will be released sometime this October in Europe.

Beyond the Labyrinth, as revealed in the first batch of screenshots, is gorgeous. Now we have some more screenshots and it’s looking as beautiful as ever. Konami also released them in MPO format which you can download here. Check after the break for all the screenshots.
