Masahiro Sakurai has talked in-depth about Kid Icarus: Uprising in the recent Nintendo Direct broadcast, sharing that it’s possible to combine items within the game and also trade “seeds”, which allows you to make combinations with other players via StreetPass. As we’ve heard in the past, the game supports online play, and Sakurai mentioned that playing the game online “was very smooth”, even when playing with players outside of Japan. Support for SpotPass is also confirmed and will provide a new weapon to download every day. There’s lots of footage after the break.
