It’s been revealed that preordering Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion in GameStop stores across the US will net you a special “Oswald the Rabbit” Ears hat. You can click here to check out the listing for the game.

According to reports. GameStop allow 3DS owners to trade-in their current system and save $100 off the price of the 3DS XL. This offer, however, is apparently only available across the launch weekend, so there is a fairly short window to make the trade.

According to a recent report, GameStop is one of the worst places to work in America, sharing that:
Employees appear to regularly complain that the company privileges sales above customer service. According to one review, “Priority is placed on sales instead of games and customers, pushing people to pre-order games can place them in a situation where they spend good money on a bad game with no possibility of a refund, business’ models place customers at a disadvantage.” It may also be the reason why the video game retailer made the Consumer Report’s annual “naughty” list for bad customer service in 2011. Likely adding to poor customer service, reviews point to high turnover.
And this is a good chance for GameStop employees to share their thoughts in the comments — how accurate is this report? A string of sentences isn’t going to account for the entire emotional spectrum of employees in such a huge company, but the one thing I’m wary of with these sort of reports is that it’s only the disgruntled employees that discuss their work-life. The happy ones are too busy enjoying their work. So, no matter what your story or experience as an employee, share it in the comments.

A new rumour is suggesting that GameStop retailers will soon “be offering a better upgrade incentive for those trading in a 3DS towards a 3DS XL”, along with in-store data transfer so you can switch to the new system as quickly as possible. If true, this is great. If it’s not true, well, sorry for getting your hopes up. It doesn’t sound particularly farfetched though.

If you want to pick up the 3DS XL as soon as possible, GameStop has begun to accept preorders. I doubt the system will sell-out when it’s released, but if you want to secure your order, the option is available.

If you want to pick up the 3DS XL, but don’t have enough money lying around, GameStop is currently offering $55 as trade-in credit for the original 3DS systems. Plus, until July 15th, there’s also a 25% hardware trade bonus, so that means you’re able to get a total of $68.75. That would bring the total price of the 3DS XL down to $131.25 in North America. Of course, you would probably get more for your system if you were to sell it on eBay, but this option might suit those not wanting to deal with the hassle of selling something.
