Nintendo has sent out a SpotPass message to confirm that the first downloadable content for Fire Emblem: Awakening will be available for free until the 6th of March. After this date, it will cost $2.50.

Fire Emblem: Awakening isn’t officially released in North America until February 4th (despite a few people getting their hands on an early copy) but even so, the game seems to be sold out at GameStop. It’s no longer available from the online store, and there’s talk of preorders no longer being possible at retail locations either.
Let’s hope this is a sign that the game is selling well, and not just a lack of stock.

Nintendo has confirmed that, yes, that bundle for Fire Emblem: Awakening is coming to North America. The bundle itself includes a specially-designed system and the game preinstalled on the system.
