A community manager for Tecmo Koei has revealed that Dynasty Warriors VS will not be localized for release outside of Japan. No reason has been given for this decision as of yet.

The demo for Dynasty Warriors VS has arrived in Japan. It features a verses mode against the CPU, a local multiplayer mode, a tutorial mode, and also the very neat ability to link the demo with the final version of the game. So, every time you play the demo, you’ll receive points which will unlock bonuses in the retail version of the game. There’s screenshots after the break.

Tecmo Koei has released a new trailer for Dynasty Warriors VS that shows, among other things, the Link and Samus costumes in action. It’s after the break.

The costumes for Link and Zero Suit Samus in Dynasty Warriors VS can be unlocked by playing through the tutorial mode. You’ll be able to use the costumes on your custom character known as My General. Your Mii will “also appear in a support role, handing you helpful items during battle when you’re in a pinch”.
