There’s a fan movement hoping to bring Mega Man Legends 3 back from the dead, and Capcom has finally addressed the movement in a statement to Kotaku. Capcom spokesperson Brian Kelter had this to say:
We are aware of the fan created Facebook page requesting that we resume development of Mega Man Legends 3. While Capcom has a built a strong relationship with its community and values their feedback, Mega Man Legends 3 development has officially ceased without plans to resume development.
Well, that’s a certainly a bummer. Here’s hoping the fan’s efforts aren’t completely in vain.

In an interview Yoshinori Ono of Capcom was asked if Street Fighter x Tekken was coming to the 3DS. This is what he said in response:
It’s possible. For the 3DS, I wanted to do an [Super Street Fighter IV:] Arcade Edition version, but I haven’t had a chance to do that because of all the other things I’m up to. At the company, we’re debating should we go for an AE port on 3DS? Should we skip that and go straight to Street Fighter x Tekken? There are a lot of things up in the air, so I can’t say for sure what our next 3DS project will be.
We’ve heard talk of Street Fighter x Tekken before possibly coming to the handheld and personally, I think that’d be a more interesting title to have compared to the Arcade Edition. What do you think?

Mega Man Legends 3 is still cancelled, but there’s one last big push to get the game revived. It takes a little more effort than joining the Facebook campaign, but it’s simple enough. First, sign up here as a Serbot, then leave a comment here. This is all done via Capcom’s official website for the game (specifically, the Developer Room) and it’s probably the best way to grab their attention. You can click here for the full details though.

We were worried this would happen. Mega Man Legends 3 has been cancelled. It’s a big shame, especially in light of Assassin’s Creed being cancelled, Ninja Gaiden remaining in very early development and CRUSH3D being delayed because of the 3DS having a low adoption rate at this point. You can check after the full break for the direct message from Capcom regarding this cancellation.

There was a string of rumors that suggested Monster Hunter would be coming to the Nintendo 3DS. Nothing came of those unfortunately, but there’s still a chance we’ll see the game on the handheld. David Reeves, the COO of Capcom Europe has said, in reference to the 3DS and the Vita that, “I think down the road, you could probably see a Monster Hunter iteration somewhere. Probably on both of them.”
(Thanks to Chris for sending this in.)

Capcom has partnered with the folks at StreetPass Network to organise a event based around Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D. A ton of groups are participating so definitely check after the break to see if there is an event in your local area. If you’re eager to participate you can click here to pick up the game.
