Christian Svensson of Capcom has said that “many of our previously released 3DS titles will be coming to the eShop in the coming months”. So far, the company has released Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and Resident Evil: Revelations for the 3DS, so it could be any or all of these titles.

Mega Man Small

The first three Mega Man titles are on the eShop in Japan, and the fourth one is coming on October 17th. For folks in the west though, we’ve been left hanging. Christian Svensson of Capcom, however, has said:

Patience… we’ll have things to discuss on this topic in the future.

But all we can do for now is hope that “the future” is not too distant.

EX Troopers 4

When asked if EX Troopers would be released outside of Japan, Christian Svensson of Capcom responded:

No because EX Troopers isn’t part of the LP series officially (thus the difference in name) nor are there plans to bring it Westward at this time. Secondly DmC isn’t a sub-series. It’s an origin story.

He did say “at this time”, so maybe that’s a shred of hope you can hold to. But I’m thinking this will be something we’ll just have to live with forever. And that’s a shame.

Capcom has confirmed that a Monster Hunter game will be released in North America this year. Unfortunately, the information they can’t reveal for the moment is “what it is” and “when we’ll know”. With the approach of the Tokyo Game Show though, along with the media briefing on the 13th, there’s lots of room for announcements.

Capcom is teasing that some “surprising information” about Monster Hunter 4 will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show. One of the recent “surprises” revealed in Famitsu was nothing but a new weapon for the game, so maybe this won’t be that exciting, but we’ll keep a look out for something newsworthy.

For the third time in the past few weeks, Capcom has talked about the fact that Monster Hunter news that relates to its life outside of Japan is still on its way. This is what Christian Svensson said:

A few weeks ago, I told MH fans on this forum that you’d hear something before the end of the year. Nothing has changed on that front. You’re also assuming that when it comes, it’ll be at some event you can see coming from a mile away. That’s not necessarily a correct assumption. While I appreciate the passion, I can’t help you if every possible industry event leads to build up and crashes in anticipation. If we somehow get to Dec 31 and you do not have more visibility, then please be mad at me. Until then, I’d request the benefit of the doubt and your continued patience.

If time travel existed, this might be a good situation to go back in time and never promise anything. I’m sure the questions would have faded, people would have (mostly) forgotten about Monster Hunter outside of Japan in the mean time, and there’d be none of this anticipation. That might have been a better position for Capcom.

Again, and again, and again, Capcom has told us to “be patient” in regards to Monster Hunter news for the 3DS outside of Japan. At this point we’re not sure what’s going to happen — whether they’ll release Monster Hunter Tri G over hear, or just jump straight to Monster Hunter 4 — but something is going to happen.

Yuri Araujo of Capcom has said that “there is an end to this madness”, but for the moment, the waiting must continue. I just hope all this waiting is worth it.
