Project X Zone Screenshot 11

Rich George of IGN teased recently that we’d be getting some interesting 3DS news soon, and it turns out the news is that Project X Zone will be released outside of Japan. Namco Bandai announced today that the game will be launching in Europe, Australia and North America sometime this summer. You can check after the break for some screenshots from the game.

Oh Look, a Kangaroo Reference! How Original.

There are two bundles coming to Australia on the 6th of December that include a white 3DS XL and “a pre-installed digital version of either Super Mario 3D Land or Mario Kart 7″. And yes, I will continue to use Gangsta Kangaroo when talking about my beloved home country. He just brings such a big smile to my face.

Naruto Powerful Shippuden, known as Naruto SD Powerful Shippuden in Japan, has been rated for release in Australia. This most likely indicates that the game will be launching soon in that region. We’ll have to wait for an official announcement though.

Nintendo has released their fiscal reports for the first half of 2012 and revealed the 3DS is not selling well outside of Japan. The lower-than-expected sales of the 3DS, which only amounted to about 297,000 units, were partly to blame for Nintendo lowering their profit forecasts by 70 percent.

Nintendo of Australia has revealed a couple of release dates. Some notable titles include:

  • Pokedex 3D Pro on the 8th of November
  • Fallblox, Hydroventure: Spin Cycle and Air Porter sometime in November
  • The white 3DS XL with Mario Kart 7 pre-installed on the 6th of December
  • Paper Mario: Sticker Star on the 8th of December
  • Denpa Men: They Came by Wave and Nano Assault EX sometime in December

Is there anything that you’re looking forward to?

Namco Bandai and Atari have revealed that RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D will be coming to Europe and Australia territories on the 16th of October. There’s still no release date for RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D in North America though.

There’s a noticeable lack of good gaming conventions down here in Australia. I attended EB Expo last year — it was the first of its kind — and it was fine, but what I’ve wanted is a PAX-esque event. It is awesome, then, that we’re not just getting a PAX-esque event next year: we’re getting PAX. That’s all we know for now, but I’m definitely keen for details. Who else is excited?
