We’ve heard about the Eevee-themed 3DS XL in the past, and we’ve now received a glimpse at it through a pamphlet in Japan. For the moment, we’ll have to hope that it’s released throughout the rest of the world.
Starting on the 15th of May, another design for the 3DS XL is coming to Japan. It’ll be themed around Eevee (the Pokémon, for folks whose brains aren’t operating at their maximum capacity at this present moment), and will only be available via a raffle through the Pokémon Centre stores. (And to be clear, you enter the raffle for the privilege to purchase the device.)
Nintendo has confirmed that a completely-pink 3DS XL is coming to the United Kingdom on the 31st of May, 2013. Japan might get the coolest (and sheer volume) of colours and combinations, but at least the rest of the world hasn’t been completely forgotten.
At the moment, it’s possible to pick up the Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS XL from Nintendo’s online store. In case you were hoping to pick it up in store though, keep hoping, since Nintendo has said that “There are no plans to sell this accessory at other retail locations at this time”. But again, there’s the online store.
Nintendo has finally made the Circle Pad Pro for the 3DS XL available for preorder via their online store. It’s set for release on the 19th of April and will cost $19.99. You can find it here if you’re interested.
Japan is receiving yet-another design for the 3DS XL known as “Mint and White”. It seems a little too niche to expect it for release outside of the region, but at least within Japan, it will be released on April 18th.
Nintendo has confirmed that the pink and white 3DS XL is returning to North America. You’ll be able to pick it up from “coast to coast” starting from this week.
