Super Monkey Ball for 3DS is a launch title, Sega has multiple 3DS titles in development

Alan Pritchard of Sega was interviewed in the January edition of Game Informer magazine, and when the Nintendo 3DS was brought up he said:

> “The 3DS was great. I don’t known anyone who went to E3 that wasn’t excited about it. We’re obviously waiting to hear a lot more information from Nintendo. We have announced Super Monkey Ball for 3DS, which will be a launch title. We have a number of 3DS titles in our line-up for next financial and calendar year. There’s four or five existing franchises, one or two from the old Sega IP locker, and we’re looking at one or two new IPs as well.”

Certainly sounds like Sega are betting on the success of the 3DS. What other Nintendo 3DS games do you think Sega are working on?

    And i wouldn`t mind a bleach game on the 3ds…i thought the ds ones were ok.

    Nintendo Power has had a unnamed Sonic game in the 3DS section of the “Game Forecast” for a while. I think it might be Sonic 5, which would be the sequel to Sonic 4 for WiiWare

      Not possible -at this time-, seeing as Sonic 4 only has 1 Part so far out of at least 3 or 4 Parts so that’s pretty much out. It could be another Sonic game that’s like Sonic Rush/Adventure.

      The theory of sonic rush/adventure isnt possible at this time. Sega has said that they were going into making games with a sonic colors/ daytime sonic unleashed feel. so for now, no side scrolling

    Let’s hope we’ll see some cool sega games on the 3dS. Also hoping for some good RPGs from Sega

    I value Sega’s games as the best games on the market after first party (Excluding some games like AC, or GoldenEye), so more games from Sega=more great quality games for the 3DS.

    Of course one of them is going to be a sonic game! Don’t know what the others could be; but maybe one of them is bleach and the others should be new…

    SONIC ADVENTURE 3!!!!DS hahahah yeah right… :( but i really do hope they pop out some awesome 3d sonic games, im hopeful :D

      Actually, i think Sonic Adventure 3DS sounds pretty possible, that’s the game i would love to see =)
      But i don’t want the crappy SA2 world map thingy, i want the SA/STH360 free roaming world map =)

      SA3DS with a new chao garden would be fun

      also, the open world in sonic the hedgehog was awful!! and if they do decide to do one it would need a major overhaul.

      They did the overworld thing again in Sonic Unleashed and i think its a semi-cool concept but they didnt pull it off that well again. I think SA 3DS is kinda possible, especially if the 3DS is as awesome as we’re all hoping, because almost any sonic fan wants another sonic Adventure game!!

      I don’t think that can happen, sorry.

      3DS only does 3D. It can’t render 8D images.

    What’s up with all the links in the comments? ATTENTION: PLEASE DIRECT ALL NEWS TIPS TO THE APPROPIATE CHANNELS. As for games I think they’re working on…The House of the Dead. The 3DS is perfect for that. THOTD’s first person gameplay allows for the implementation of the 3d effect without it being forced like My Garden.

    NiGHTS and Jet Set Radio would be nice. They were both popular enough. Hopefully Sega will stat doing what Nintendo does: remaking old games in a new way (Metroid Other M, DKCR, Kirby’s Epic Yarn were all pretty darn popular).
