If this post on Nintendo’s official Facebook page is anything to go by, Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES will be one of the free games available to early adopters of the 3DS as a part of the Ambassador Program. It hasn’t been officially confirmed, but it seems like an odd thing to share if it were related to anything else.
i really hope so :)
oh and first
+1 for me.
If all these come for free i can not ask for more. these are all the games where i bought my 3DS for in the first place. :)
I am pretty much done after those mario games.
Considering Super Mario Advance 4 is one of the GBA games I have some doubts but I do hope SMB 3 is coming to the 3DS.
That’s been deconfirmed.
Super Mario Advance 4 isn’t one of the games. So this is good news. I can’t imagine it means anything else.
Not surprised. But no matter how great this game is, I really wish it were something else. I already own this game on GBA and Wii and have it on my iPod, do I really need another copy of it?
its free but you can download something else
good, good… all according to plan
I was wondering why this image was posted on the facebook but I assumed that since it was the “time up” image, it was just a clever way to tell people that their time for becoming an ambassador was up.
I thought the same thing as well. But if you click on where it says Super Mario Bros. it sends you to a 2 picture album. One being the “Time Up” picture and the other one is the title screen of Super Mario Bros. 3. Nevertheless we can’t jump to conclusions until it’s confirmed.
You people have to remember that Nintendo DOES know fans always will jump to conclusions so they do some REAL effort to don’t do things like this if the obvious subtle meaning is not right… They know the big confusion they can get into “providing” fake information… Like when Super Smash Bros. Brawl was about to be realeased I read the Iwata Asks about it with Sakurai (Smash and kirby’s creator), the funny thing is that Sakurai was about to get out of Hal Lab, and knew Smash had ended at Melee, then someone asked him about smash in wii. Even though he didn’t believe in it, he knew they could keep on the work without him, so he answered “maybe”… Fans assumed it as yes, the next thing he knows is Iwata talking with him about how they needed him to work in the next smash bros. as the original creator no-on would know so well how to do the work as him… Nintendo had many problems of fans assuming things too soon like this, so they are REALLY controlled about their simple statements and images… D:
Personally, i think that would be great if SMB3 for NES was an ambassador game! Primarily because I want the game on my 3DS, but don’t really want it taking up a GBA spot…
I never even realized XD! I think your right!… My body is ready
I’ve already got all of the Super Mario games on my SNES anyway. xD
I’m not an early adopter, but its good news to those that bought the 3DS before tomorrow. I read that it’s the best Super Mario Bros game of the NES era.
No duh. :P
Or it could be that the picture says “Times-Up”…
Those who didn’t connect to the eShop due to being lazies :P
TIME UP!
I hope this is true.
erm…yay?
are they going to reveal the rest tomorrow?
I hope they reveal the full lineup today/tomorrow.
now all i want now is metroid,kid icarus,kirbys adventure,and punch-out!!
now all i want now is metroid,kid icarus,kirbys adventure,and punch-out!!
super mario bros. 2 anyone?
i dont see why not. isnt that already on the 25th anniversary wii game? its just a bunch of free remakes.
At least I’ll have it.
screw super mario bros 2! gimmi doki doki panic!
If you look at Marios’ FBpost it says:
“Nintendo 3DS Ambassadors will be able to join me and Luigi on our first Mushroom Kingdom adventure for free next month! Visit http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/3ds/en_na/3dsambassador.jsp?menu=about&submenu=ctr-gi-amb-program-what-is to find out how you can help us save the princess!!”
actualy it was confirmed as a gba game as super mario advanced 4 it said so on the eshop news when talkin bout gba games
No that was un-confirmed
I really hope this is true!
Makes sense. That rep that posted about Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Super Mario Bros. 3 (SMA4) probably heard those two titles, and assumed both were the GBA versions. Especially since there was that article questioning whether there was still hope for Kirby, I wouldn’t be at all surprised it that was one of the GBA games and SMB3 is a NES choice.
PLEASE LET IT BE!
It’s prob just a coincidence. After all it just says ”Times Up” But still it would be pretty isck if it happened =D
sick*
It seems that for the ambassadors program, theyre only giving nintendo liscensed games, does that mean theres a chance for pokemon yellow or emerald?
River City Ransom, TMNT2 the arcade game, Battletoads,Double Dragon,North and South, Ice Hockey, all with wifi multiplayer.
It will never happen cause Nintendo doesn’t own all of them but they would be “fresher” if I can say that about 20+ year old software. Not as many people know about RCR.
Im sorry to say but Mario 3 is a bit played out.
From what I’ve seen the Ambassador program has little to no ambition. It feels a bit more like a frantic repacking.
Id like to see an online lobby of gba and nes and snes games that could be played with other people. you could see who’s playing what game and join…. without rebuying/acquiring these old titles.
some Gba games on 3ds with no multiplayer seems like a dead end. (any pokemon, shining soul2.)
So if kirby and the amazing mirror is one of the gba titles, it wouldn’t surprise me that this is a nes one.
Weren’t They Going to tell us all the Free Games Today? not a rumor about SMB3
Though I already have a copy on my Wii, I wouldn’t mind a portable copy.
We can only hope ill also hope for SMA2 Super Mario World because thats a SNES game ooh and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon anyone
Umm can anyone help me?the “you a are Nintendo 3ds ambassador!” message was in my eshop’s news section earlier, but now it’s gone…am I somehow not in the program?I got my 3ds within days of it’s launch…
Don’t worry about it man. Your still in. The same thing happened to me. They took it out, and replaced with updated news about the E-Shop Ambassadors.
If SMB3 comes to 3DS, screw the Wii, imma going to the 3DS
