SEGA has revealed today that Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is headed to the 3DS in late 2012. The game’s cast will consist of classic Sonic characters and characters from Golden Axe, Skies of Arcadia, Jet Set Radio and Crazy Taxi. You’ll also be able to traverse various different terrains using your transforming vehicle that can go from boat to plane, depending on the situation. You can check after the break for a trailer.

  • Matthius

This sounds so cool! I was such a fan of the first one on 360, no matter how much of a mario kart clone. I personally like SASR better .

    • ps vita is worse

Is mario kart coming to wii u?

    • Zack

It would be very unlikely if it didn’t. Like I seriously doubt they wont make a new Mario Kart for every new system.

  • segagiga

    Mind blown

  • Jimmy Johnson

I can play this when I am board now!

    • Captain Falcon

    • Belinni

At least it will provide a comfy space for someone to put their 3DS stand and play Kid Icarus.

  • PrimedMetroid

Please announce this for the Wii U.

    • SonicandMario

I have a feeling this will be announced for the Wii U launch line up later, but Nintendo didn’t let Sega disclose that information at this time.

    • SonicandMario

Oh, also, Sega said they couldn’t confirm nor deny a Wii U version. If they weren’t making one, they probably would have said so. However, if they are, Nintendo won’t allow them to tell.

  • Ricardo

To the people who think that this is a copy of Mario Kart 7 (which it is NOT) read this quote from TSS:

“Now, I know what you’re thinking: isn’t this the same gimmick that Mario Kart 7 used just last year? In that you could hang glide and go under water, and your kart transformed in that too! Well, no, they are actually very different games. Yes, Mario Kart had transformations, but they were considerably more limited in how they were used and how much they changed the race. The hang gliders gave the player a limited amount of flight time and are much more limited in their maneuverability. The only trick to using the hang glider was trying to maximize your air time to try and get ahead of the other racers. The underwater areas were merely floatier versions of the regular racing areas. The transformations in Transformed are much more fleshed out, and feel like completely different gameplay modes, with completely different vehicles and physics. In MK7, these transformations are little more than modest additions to the base formula”.

And if you want to get serious, MK7 basically copied Diddy Kong Racing, so ya….

This game is going to rock! Day 1 purchase.

    • Basil

I laughed when you said “MK7 copied DKR”

    • austen

cough cough mk7 clone cough cough

    • http://www.DONT_CLICK_ME.com TechTris

You’re a funny person. Trying to stop arguments before they start (and I notice none right now).

    • Franco

      It’s worst than a copy

    • KING Z

Why Are You Guys Hating On Ricardo For Being Right? MK7 Wasnt Even Fun, This Will Rock

    • Franco

I think that since Super Mario Kart, most of this games are copies.

    • Green Reuben

but this isn’t a case of nintendo copying nintendo, this is sega copying nintendo

    • Zolidsnake

who cares who copies who!! i want to play in anyways! plus mario kart 7 is old news..

    • Aneudi

DKR was still the king of kart racers for me. The devs said they came out with the ideas of transformations for this new game before MK7, and it might be true, because this game was being rumored last year. I also felt the transformations in MK7, especially the air one, were cheap and unneccesary. This is just my opinion though

    • Ricardo

Honestly, look at all of the immaturity in most comments… :(

@KINGZ – Thank you so much for not bashing on me. All I do is post a legit quote, and all I get is hate :(.

Seriously, i think people are hating on this game because in ways it looks better than Mario Kart. Honestly people, OPEN YOUR MINDS and play other racing genres! Do not be close-minded and stick to only Mario Kart.

Now…I will patiently wait for those people who bashed me to apologize.

The reason I said MK7 is a clone of DKR is because DKR introduced this stuff first, and yet NO ONE ever said that MK7 is like DKR, but when Racing Transformed comes, every most Mario Kart fans just have to go and bash this game by saying: DKR RIPOFF. MARIO KART 7 RIPOFF!

      Fanboys….will be fanboys.

    • Joe

Dude, if you want to waste $30 when Mario Kart 7 is enough, go right ahead. But don’t tell others to jump of the bridge.

This game will most likely suck, and you know it deep down.

    • Dan

Let’s all shut up and enjoy both games. The gimmicks are different in many ways.

    • BlackJackIGN

Now the problem for me is whether to get this on 3DS, 360, PS3 or Vita… Hmm…

    • Ricardo

@Joe – Oh look, another Mario Kart fanboy!

When did I tell anyone to go jump off a bridge?! Accusing me of things I did not even say, bravo.

No, actually, deep down, I know the game will NOT suck. Quit trying to put useless thoughts in to my mind. I know that deep down, YOU are jealous of this game, and hate the fact it already beats Mario Kart in numerous ways. I like both racing games, but I prefer Transformed.

So, get out of here, and get out of my life, you loser.

    • stephen

who said it was a clone. apart from the people who have replied to your post because you mentioned it? posts like these spark arguments!

    • Joe

@ Ricardo. I just stated my opinion. If you can’t handle it, you shouldn’t be here. Also, stop cursing (see below comment) – people respect you a lot more if you don’t.

Never did I say the game WILL suck. I said it will MOST LIKELY suck. Learn to read, then argue.

    • Joe

Dude, I love how when I try to “accuse you of things that you did not say”, you do the same thing and say that I am “jealous”. Also, I’m “not in your life.”

There’s nothing to be jealous about when I like MK7 better. Point invalidated and checkmated.

    • Donny

      @Joe:

Ah, the classic “Herp, it’s my opinion, derp” excuse. The internet’s get out of jail card.

    • Ricardo

@Donny. Shut up fucking gay THIS is my conversation.

    • Jacob

^Just to clarify. Gay = Happy

He’s complimenting how happy you are, so then you shut up from HIS conversation.

    • austen

both games are good, well i think it will be good but honestly who cares? every video game company steals something from another company. thats the video game life so get over it joe.

    • Ricardo

      @Ricardo that replied to Donny:

Wtf dude! Quit trying to pretend that you’re me. It makes me sick, and makes me think that you also have no life.

@Donny – Please forgive me, that was a “different” Ricardo. I am the Ricardo that posted the very first comment that sparked all of these comments.

    • Derpsicle

      ITZ A MK7 CLONE!!!!

Just to piss people like Ricardo off, it’s hilarious.

    • Donny

I wasn’t aware Sonic can run on air. Or water, for extended periods of time.

    • Xarreno

Multiple cases of Sonic running on water:
      –Sonic Advance 2 –Sonic Colors
–Sonic the Hedgehog 3 –Sonic Unleashed
      –Sonic Generations –Sonic Rush

Legit case of Sonic running in the air:

That’s like saying mid night club is a clone of need for speed or vise avers anyone’s aloud to make a racing game as long as there is no copy right or whatever the hell their stupid laws are. Regardless this game looks freaken cool and ya either there making this for the wiiu cuz the graphics in the video are of very high standard hmm will have to wait and see.

    • austen

im just saying it looks alot like a mario kart 7 but with sonic slapped on it

    • Ricardo

Austen is mad because if SEGA puts this game for WII U as a launch title, Sonic Racing will steal Mario Kart’s spotlight.

Shut up Austen, you’re being such a Mario Kart fanboy right now.

    • Joe

Ricardo, no need to tell others to waste $30 on shovelware! Austen is completely right. Don’t hype this game to something it will likely not be!

    • Big E

I don’t know, the first game was pretty good (According to many people). And don’t pass around your opinions as fact. It just makes you look like a douche.

    • Ricardo

Yeah Joe, you’re just jealous because not everyone likes Mario. You do know that the majority of Mario fans also love Sonic?

Quit being fucking jealous of this game. Now, again, fuck off please.

    • stephen

if you’ve played the first one. you would know that they are not at all similar in anyway. the courses have different feels to them. the handling is different. on the other hand. they must have been influenced by the water and flying part, but that’s fine.

    • Joe

Wow, you’re a tough guy. Resorting to cursing to defend a game that will * likely * suck. That’s pathetic.

    • Joe

      @BigE

“something it will likely not be.” How is this passing fact as opinion?

    • Joe

      @ Ricardo + BigE

Notice how I don’t have a problem with everybody who has a valid opinion. Don’t defend this like it’s the next best thing since sliced bread. Let’s see what everybody (including reviewers) think.

    • Big E

@Joe I’m not defending this unreleased game like it’s the next best thing. I highly doubt I’m even going to buy it. And you are entitled to your opinion. What set me off was you calling this (again) unreleased game “shovelware”…

    • austen

you know what its not a clone EVERY BODY STFU! ricardo is right give the game a FU#KING CHANCE

  • spacemanpurple

    looks like MK7… but better

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/Spakiness Spakiness

I’m assuming that’s because this game is on multiple platforms so they were showing the graphics of the home consoles not the 3DS. But this is just a educated guess I could be incorrect.

    • Sarah

I don’t think he was referring to graphics, but either way, it looks fun as hell

    • EpicLight*

by the term, “Looks” then yes, he ws referring to graphics; however, we’ll have to see if it has online play.

    • Total911

Actually it looks like Spakiness was trying to respond to Pedzz up above. Problem solved. :D

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/spacemanpurple SpacemanPurple

i wasn’t saying graphically better i was just saying that it looks like it will be funner and have more to offer than MK7… You people make me sick lol

    • Omarsonic9

      Its not a copy..
      Sonic and SEGA all stars
means it has Sonic and Sega characters!
but Mario kart.. IT HAS ONLY MARIO CHARACTERS
      -.-’

  • Sarah

Hmm! This looks better than MK 7. It has my interest

  • tw33ty

well i think its pretty bad ass! xD looks like its somehow btr than mk7.
cant wait for this game xD

  • Xarreno

If it’s anything like the original, but only better, then I won’t complain. I loved being able to “drift” the entire time on the DS version.

What I do hope happens, is that the flying portions have a complete range of control with multiple pathes (like DKR as someone mentioned).

  • Enzo

It would be really nice if those were the in game graphics for the 3DS version. I have a feeling it’s not.

  • StarTropics

Watching this makes me want Nintendo to continue the Diddy Kong Racing series

DIDDY KONG RACING WII U OR DS PLEASE NINTENDO

    • Nap1400

We got Diddy Kong Racing DS.

Yeah, technically it’s just a remake, but still.

  • ZimmerRemmiz

    Mario Kart 7 much?…

  • Viridi

Seems like a copy of MK7.
    *SEEMS*

    • mah boi

ikr? But sega is probably the closest competitor i’ve seen come close to Mario Kart. Mario Kart still defeats all.

You know what would be badass?
If Mario was in the 3DS version.

    • Ricardo

Sega of Europe attempted to obtain Kirby for the 3DS version, but Nintendo did not agree. Having Kirby in the 3ds version would’ve BOOSTED Kirby’s popularity!

It would’ve made more sense to have Mario instead though, but no because then Nintendo is having Mario in a Sonic game compete against Mario, which Nintendo would not like.

  • mah boi

It just says playstation…perhaps a vita release to?

    • tob2007

It is indeed coming out on the Vita.

    • http://www.youtube.com/user/MrKoopan?feature=mhee MrKoopan

  • ): ecafllorT

So I can order burgers, coneys, and icey treats while I race? Cool! I’ll think I’ll get an Oreo Sonic Blast, those are the best! :D

    • AceOfBlades247

      No.

It’s the new name for it’s drive through.

  • stormGSK

I’m slightly shocked and/or dismayed by the fact that beat uses an ATV… he should have been using super-charged roller-blades

  • thatguyoverthere

To be honest, the flying and underwater portions of MK7 felt gimmicky after the first 30 minutes of the game. Hopefully Sega tries to evolve these concepts so that they’re actually fun to use. Besides, any game with Jet Set Radio in it earns my buy.

  • Reo

    the graphic looks nice.
I wonder if that graphic could be a real gameplay footage. I wish. lol

    • Boosos

If your wish was becomes true, Virtual Reality games would have been invented.

  • IH

    so basically… mk7 but sega?

    • Big E

      No.

  • Cecil 64

    this game looks kinda beast!!

    • KING Z

I Can Agree With You There.

  • Colin

For a Mario Kart clone, Sonic Racing is a great game. It feels close enough to have the same kind of fun, but different enough that when you get tired of Mario Kart, it feels like a new experience.

  • MM-Royalninja

This might make th 3ds more popular !!!Just saying…..

  • Soma Cruz

    3 words, Mario Kart 7…

    • Ricardo

Actually, the name is Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed.

It’s alright, you’ll get the name right one day :)

    • Big E

And technically speaking, that was only 2 words and a number.

    • Sarah

      Mario Kart Seven?

    • mah boi

      2 words, shut up

  • Jon

If they do the mechanics and handling very precise then this game will be epic. Although I doubt the 3ds game will look like that That’s probably console footage

  • Ricardo

This is console footage, guys. It will not be for a while until SEGA releases Vita/3DS footage.

  • http://passid.ca/paulio LazyKite

    wow. im excited for this!

CAN SOME DEV PLEASE GIVE US JET SET RADIO for 3ds, then i will be happy!

  • uhga buga

hmm if it’s coming to wii u id rather skip the 3ds version but then we’ll have to see if MK wii u comes close to launch like mk 7 did.

Also i hope they just go all out and make a Mario & Sonic All star racing =D and not just with mario + nintendo maps. prob 2013 launch if they did

    • uhga buga

i didint mean not just with nintendo maps i wrote that a little confusing my bad

    • KING Z

I Hope Nintendo Takes There Time With MKWU… MK7 Was Rushed

      Now I’m dissappointed

  • EnderBro11

There is one thing wrong with this trailer:
The player is always way ahead of the rest of the pack XD

    • Big E

      Hahahahaha. So true.

  • Big E

I LOVE how people are comparing this unreleased game to Mario Kart 7 (And none of the other 100 racing games). It’s pissing me off.

    • Sarah

      ^This

    • Ricardo

It’s because some people hate it when people like Sonic, and not Mario.

    • uhga buga

or its cuz sonic is the closest rival to mario u brain dead idiots….

    • Sharic X

      @uhga buga

Oh really? Guess you haven’t heard of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Winter Olympics and 2012 Olympic Games. If I remember correctly, they were FRIENDS in Adventure Tours! And same with Story Mode for 3DS!

    • https://www.youtube.com/thetechguy27 TheTEChguy27

Actually, I guess it’s ON water, not underwater.

    • Theo

If you say it’s a direct clove of Mario Kart 7 your being very ignorant.

If anything it’s a hybrid of Mk and DKR. I honestly think if done properly this can be a much better game than Mario kart.

Epscially if it has a lot more goin on in the levels.

With Mario kart I got bored about half way in single play unfortunately….as many tracks as there were, they were either short or just too little of them!

Also I enjoyed the gliding and under water parts for a bit but then just felt like they should’ve been part of the game years ago.

  • J. Severe

There goes another of my 40 bucks.

I don’t see this as an MK7 clone, I see this as a sequel to one of the more fun racers of the past few years. (Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing).

  • Siedlec

they should make mario kart and sonic all star racing one game. Now its look like MK 7 sonic edition.

  • Odie5776

LOL How isn’t this a clone!?!?

    MK7 didn’t copy DKR

In DKR, you were in the same vehicle the whole time, but in MK7, you transformed LOL

    MK7 clone #1

    • Ricardo

In MK7 you DO NOT transform! All Nintendo adds is a little part to their cars (the engine and glider)

      Mario Kart fanboy.

Not a MK7 clone, dumb Alec.

    • Donny

“In DKR, you were in the same vehicle the whole time”

      “but in MK7, you transformed”

That doesn’t make any freaking sense. How is MK7′s “add a glider/propeller” shit a transformation, but actually TRANSFORMING in DKR isn’t?

  • Theo

I hope this comes to the Vita as well:).

I already have Mario kart on 3DS.

Most likely what is going to happen if Vita owners get this is they’ll just port the 3Ds version and enhance the graphics much like F1.

    • Ricardo

Did you not look at the end of the video? Lol yes, Transformed is coming to the Vita too!

    • Theo

      YAY!

Can’t fucking wait to retire my Mario Kart 7.

S&SASR, is so much a better kart racer then any of the Mario Karts, its not even funny.

    - game was faster
    - had better drifting mechanics (no stupid pre-jump and waggling)
    - no bullshit weapons such as blue shells
    - larger, vibrant and lively tracks.

I still play the original one more than MKWii and MK7. Especially MKwii (worst MK in the series.)

I also like how everyone is quick to assume this game was a direct feed off Mario Kart 7.

    By the developers:
“We were sitting in a meeting room at work watching the E3 conferences and Nintendo came on and we all wondered if they’d be doing a new Mario Kart,” Lee exclaims.

“Then they had a montage of things and you had a kart sprout wings, and we all looked around the room, and then you saw a car go into water and we were all like, ‘No fucking way!’ But then they went into each one in depth and, although it’s kind of flying, it’s more falling with style.

“Whereas the driving underwater… that’s not boating. There will be a few people who think we’re copying them – but no! We’ve been making this game for 18 months.”

    So yeah.

Heres some extra info for the 3DS version:

“I would like to know if there have been graphical changes to support the handhelds’ lower power, or are you guys trying to have it run comaprably to the HD versions?”
For the Vita, this would be less of a problem than the 3DS.”

Sumo Engine powers everything but the 3DS. 3DS is being built from the ground up. As always we’re aiming to deliver the same experience and try and take in some of each consoles features along the way. We’re unlikely to use the PS3 assets directly on 3DS, but we do have a dedicated team who are taking the big assets and modifying them suitably :P – SOL

    • Tails the Foxhound

-No, it really wasnt. It’s very sluggish actually. (This comparison is between MKWii and SaSASR Wii.)
-Where? Every single racer feels floaty, the flying ‘cars’ being so floaty that they can create infinite skid boosts. Tails being the worst offender.
-Blue Shell is a necessary evil. Without it, the leader becomes run-away. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten so far ahead of the pack in SaSASR that I’ve actually been able to stop, turn around, and back into the goal (hint: there’s even an achievement for it).
-With less emphasis on the actual tracks. The tracks were wide, with very little in the way of challenging terrain and were unreasonably wide. (Probably to accommodate the wildly ranging sizes of the racers.)

Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing was a poor man’s Mario Kart. It was (kinda) fun sure, but Mario Kart was and always has been built better. The sequel looks good, but it’s still MK7 with the air and water sequences extended. We’ll see if this is fun or if they do the air and water parts better, but I’m not really gonna hold my breath. Sega’s always, ALWAYS, been “me too” with Sonic, this is no exception. This coming from an ardent Sonic fan and a kid in the Sega crowd in the ’90s.

I only liked the game because of the Super Monkey Ball stage and music. Oh, and the drift mechanic…And the announcer. Loved him.

      @tails the foxhound

      - I had the game on 360, and it controlled extremely well. I’m not sure about the wii one.

-Floaty? I hate to break it to you but the game wouldn’t be as fun or fast paced if you couldn’t continuously drift, that was the highlight of the game, “to be able to continuously drift”.

As well for a game as fast paced like that, why shouldn’t they be floaty, how the hell do you expect the racers to make far distance jumps with realistic heavy gravity? Making it not floaty is a game breaker. Not to mention the same physics and drifting mechanics were already confirmed to be carried over to the next game because it was “received well”.

-No its not, Blue Shell is a bullshit weapon, thats punishes skill and promotes luck. Nobody likes the blue shell. As for not being able to keep up? Then tough uck thats why i love S&SASR, it was more towards skill then luck. I played the game enough times to tell you I’ve caught up from players who were far ahead. Its all about drifting.

      - Theres no problem with wide tracks. Thats an unreasonable claim to attack the game.

If anything, narrow tracks is a reason why I hate mario kart at times. Yeah you go get hit by a banana or a fake item box in a bridge or tiny road that you cant avoid unless (If) you can drive of the road.

Tracks in S&SASR made the tracks in all of the MK series look incredibly bland. Theres enough hazards, turns and long distance jumps to make mario kart look stale.

The game was not a poor man’s mario kart, its anything but that. Mario Kart doesn’t have the amount of attention or detail as S&SASR had, not to mention the game was built from scratch and was the first entry in the series. MKwii was terrible, and still is terrible. MK7 does not live up to “MKDS” at all, which imo is the best on in the series.

Again another ignorant comment, the water segments and flyings egments in S&SAR “do not” play at all the same like in MK7.

MK7′s “water segments” takes place “under water”resulting in slowed down floaty racing.

and its “air segments”.. Hang gliding is just going off a ramp and slowly falling down.

S&SAR “water segments” takes place “Above water”, this means dealing with waves and currents which will have its own physics. No where near the same.

Its air moments will be directly flying, not falling.

I grew up with both, I’m still a huge Nintendo and SEGA fan, I grew up with both. I still love Mario kart, but you know what, the same old formula is getting stale. No to mention the attention and quality is diminishing, you go tell me right now and lie in my face mk7 and mkwii is better than DS. Its not. In fact in recent years the better tracks in the MK series are ones from past titles.

Also Sumo develops the game, not “SEGA”. Sumo did something right with S&SASR, reason being a sequel is being made. They wouldn’t push for another one if the game was terrible.

-I haven’t played the 360 version, so I will no longer touch this due to lack of knowledge.
-By ‘floaty’, I mean that the racers don’t feel like they have very little or no weight to them. They rise & fall too slowly and have very little ‘impact’ when they hit the ground. It feels awkward, like it wasn’t designed quite right. Think of (if you’ve played them) Battle Stadium D.O.N. or Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion, they are smash clones but the weight isn’t right they lift far too easily and don’t drop fast enough, all while not adequately stunning from attacks. That’s what S&SASR feels like to me, a bad smash clone (or Crash Team Racing).
-Yes, you caught up, but would someone slightly (key word SLIGHTLY) worse than you have been able to? In a game with items there HAS to be something like that to keep a skilled player from running away.

      [Hypothetical allegory time!:
Let's say for the sake of argument that four clones of you are playing. These clones all have the same skill level. Now one takes the lead because he go a boost instead of, well anything else. He proceeds to booby trap all the shorcuts/boosts and continuously fire items backwards, further slowing the losing 3. The loosing 3, fight amongst themselves being right next to each other. First place gets further and further away. After not too long a time, first place is completely unattainable. (This is also due to the vast amount of defensive items in the game. Very nearly every item can be used defensively, as well as the few defense only items.) A 'Blue Shell' would at the very least bring first place within striking distance. Sure the Blue Shell CAN screw you (hint: it's initials are BS), but it brings a necessary balance to the game.]

Besides, it’s not like the Blue Shell is infallible. It CAN be dodged, in every incarnation of it.
-Wide tracks provide no challenge for players, you don’t have to fight as much for that perfect track line. They also dilute the tactical potential of items.
-You’re nit picking. The specifics of the physics are different but it’s essentially the same. That’s like trying to tell me that God Hand, God of War, Beyonetta, or Castlevania: Lords of Shadow aren’t Devil May Cry clones. They definitely are. You still move from one to the other at a certain point in the track, you just can’t chose not tho use one path or the other. They’re just extended versions of MK7′s ideas. Also there are still areas with makeshift currents in MK7, just no waves.

Personally I dislike Sumo. They don’t seem to have any REAL love for what they’re working with. All the odd voice clips, poor music, and poor imagination implemented in their games makes them feel souless to me. Maybe they’ll change my mind, ’cause while I say all this, I’m still looking forward to this game in some form.

    it looks like mk7 reskined

  • MM-Royalninja

i think this might make the N3DS more popular!!!…..Im just saying…….

  • TheGZeus

Guess this _could_ be neat, but…
Racing games aren’t my thing to begin with, and I’m not really into a game if it’s multiplayer-centric (most racing games are).

So… Yeah. Have fun with that.

  • Ty

I love how everyone’s pointing fingers at Mario Kart 7 when the real finger should point to Diddy Kong Racing.

    • Oops

Yeah not really idk why everyone has forgotten that the first ever mario kart came out on the super nintendo and diddy kong racing came out on the n64

    • Theo

He`s saying diddy because in diddy it was the first to combine kart, air and boat…

Seriously ppl are you that misinformed?

      http://www.google.com

    • My name is NOT Earl

@Oops actually the idea of going through air water and land came to mk7 thanks to diddy kong racing, not from super Mario kart, that one was just another racing game with items and Mario characters, which became one of the most famous racing games through time, so Ty is actually right.

  • Cecil 64

Golden Axe brings back memory :]

  • Gary

chatacters from jet set raido!!! oh hell yes!!

  • Cecil 64

why cant sonic just leave all this shit and go back to the way he was in sega. :\

    • Donny

      He is in SEGA, moron.

    • Cecil 64

no i meant like Pop belly sonic

  • Hazo

    Oh look, Sonic Kart 7.

  • knightboy

lol i just got the spotpass message saying that pokedex 3d is now available and one for swapnote lol

  • Enzo

Why must so many people be so annoying? :( This is not really all that similar to Mario Kart 7. The transformations are completely different. Mario Kart 7 was glider, submarine, and kart. Sonic is racecar, jet/plane, and boat. There are only three mediums in which to travel, unless you wanted the races to go through glass and solid ground (glass is not exactly solid, as it is viscous). GUISE, they did NOT copy mario kart 7. This idea has existed before.

    • Tails the Foxhound

The idea to use all of them at the same time is a Mario Kart 7 idea. It would be Diddy Kong Racing if you could choose a permanent mode of travel and every stage accommodated that choice*. It’s a MK7 clone with the sequences extended, that can’t be refuted. Bu if it ends up good, who really cares? Just like that Sony Smash clone, it’s clearly a clone (seriously, people need to stop pretending it’s not), but if it ends up fun more power to it.

*Or nearly every stage, there were some stages that cut out the cars as a (truly) viable option.

  • kelvin

off topic but has anyone noticed that the eshop says pokédex 3d uses nintendo network

  • LaLaLa

Who cares if it’s a clone, it’s still a fun racer!

  • Mountain Man

Sonic & All-Stars Racing is nothing more than second rate MarioKart.

    • Theo

You know if we begin to generalize games like this we might as well go back to Zork….

gaming doesn’t ALWAYS need inovation, it also needs competition.

Let’s hope mario kart steps it up a notch because seriously….7 wasn’t all that great. I really haven’t enjoined Mario kart since Double Dash.

NOW THAT WAS A GREAT STEP UP!

  • 091jako

I see it not going to be on the wii, i think it may come to the wii U

  • エース

lmao I’m so laughing at this.
Racing Transformed and Mario Kart 7 are different games.
