i hate how in this era of HD 3D models trees are still falt 2d cut outs. even in a beautiful game like Dark Souls the trees are bland and ugly. i mean is it really that hard to make a 3d tree model and then copy and paste??

why dont you make an amazing 3d model of a tree and send it to every1 to use?

It is very possible and has been done several billions of times to make a 3d model of a tree that is indistinguishable from a real tree. However, these models cannot be rendered in real-time! Organics and polygons do not mix very well in low-density models like those used in games. You think your HD consoles look good, well, they all look like utter shit to me. The future holds so much better real-time graphical capacity.

What Matt said. You really don’t want to waste too much resources on trees, unless you’re developing a gardening sim or making a CG render. :P

Not sure but I the basic premise is that you have to make your way out of the labyrinth. I’m inclined to think that they are deliberately being hush-hush on more of the story to keep it from being spoiled.

Some little girl getting lost in this labyrinth, and trying to get out of there. Probably. :s I wanna know more too. The trailer didn’t really tell you much. She seemed just as “lost” as anyone else.

I’m gonna buy it if it gets localized. I hope they keep the Japanese voice, though. I really hate English dubs. :/

On the fence about this. I always prefer the Japanese voices over the English but they tend to try to go too cutesy on female voices sometimes and my eardrums can’t take the squeakiness.

My guess? This girl is some sort of spirit of the labyrinth and in order to stay occupied, she moves you deeper into the labyrinth rather than out because she’s lonely. When you figure that out, she turns into your enemy and won’t let you leave and she ends up being the end boss dragon thing. Just a guess.

Oh, kind of like a GLaDOS-esque story. It would be very interesting! I would play it for sure if it had a gripping story like that!

its the colors-
it helps give a more captivating vibe
where as Revilation is all doom and gloom and tries to make you more uncomfortable. Both are impressive though. I just hate how the world exploration is checkerboard based, it would of been amazing to freely roam.

its going to bother me endlessly. What are you supposed to be? i mean your smaller than her at times. are you playing a human? or.. some robot? one of those monsters?

That is a question to ask, isn’t it? Hmm… you’re the the same person at all times so it couldn’t possibly be a monster. The robot theory seems plausible. It would be a small flying robot that she brought with her for company. The flying would explain why the camera angle changes from above to below at times.
