According to a representative from Atari, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3D, which was set for release in March, has been placed on hold. And, unfortunately, there was no reason given either, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.

SUPER LAME! This is one of the few games that I am still looking forward to (considering most of them are unannounced in NA or already out)…
i dont really care though any 3DS game being delayed is disappointing as there aren’t that many games to begin with.
With all of the ambassador games, I am booked solid this whole year. I think that there are too many good games and that Nintendo should stop forcing me to give them money for their beautiful game crafting.
Not many games? look at this month alone RE Revelations, Tekken 3D, Tales of the Abyss, and Metal Gear Solid 3, no games my ass…
^ well yes they’re starting to pick up now, but last year it was a miracle to get even 2 good games released in one month. It all boils down to personal preference, you can’t assume every person is going to buy the same games. So far I’ve bought Nintendogs+Cats (It was fun at first, but got old real fast and I haven’t touched it since last July) Rayman 3D (which I haven’t played much, the gameplay and storyline are just odd in comparison to the original Rayman 2 it’s based off) Starfox 64 3D (which my stepbrother apparently stole and sold off) and Super Mario 3D Land ( received as a present for Christmas, it’s pretty damn awesome) Going to be careful with what I decide get this year, but definitely looking forward to plenty of the upcoming games.

A shame. I’ve kinda been looking into getting back into rollercoaster tycoon. I’ve never played the third game… Just 1 and 2. How is 3 on the computer?
Pretty good. It has a nice sandbox mode and great customization. Even though my laptop is 1 year old, it still lags on occasions.
i dont find number 3 that good. I prefer 2. 3 lags alot and i find that they were trying to be smart on the graphics too much. Chris Swayer was better at making 1 and 2.
3 isn’t like 1 or 2 at all. 1 and 2 are the best but 3 let’s you ride on rollercoasters. I would prefer 1 or 2 but I don’t mind.
1 & 2 have their own feel to it as a true, isometric ‘Tycoon’ game. 3 is still very good though and well worth trying.

Not upset at the fact that it’s been delayed. Really doesn’t surprise me at all, it’ll make for a better game in the long run. I just hope it’s not cancelled.. I’ve been looking forward to revisiting this series. Not sure how long it’s been since I last played this, but I remembering toying around with the first 2 on one of my friends’ computers when I was a toddler. It was really fun!

Apparently Atari has delayed the release of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3D. Unfortunately, we first learned of this from the same reports as the rest of you. The game is complete and approved by Nintendo of America as of Jan 31 and we’re waiting for news of its approval in Europe.
According to http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/29296 the game has been finished, and approved by NOA, may just be marketing. Game looks like a May release.
