Revealed: The Mystery Project from Capcom, SEGA, and Namco Bandai

There are reports from Famitsu magazine that the mystery project from Capcom, SEGA, and Namco Bandai is not a fighter, as I assumed, but rather a simulation RPG. It is, however, known as Project X Zone, like we guessed. The speculation about the characters in the game also seems to have been accurate.

You can check after the break for the full list of characters in the game, and I’ll write about more details as they arrive. There’s said to be a trailer arriving at the end of April.

      @fox Since when that happen? I heard that co creator of Sonic going to work with Nintendo but never bought Sonic from them.
      Also Sonic is from Sega, not from Capcom.

      Sonic is Sega’s pride and joy so they would never just sell him. He hasn’t had his own console for years so it would make sense about any confusion on who owns him

      To clear up this confusion, neither Capcom or Nintendo owned Sonic, it has always been Sega’s since 1991. Sega would NEVER sell their mascot off… unless they make another horrible game…

      Other sources are saying this isn’t a full list yet and that there will be secret unlockable characters. So there’s still hope for Sonic, Mega Man, etc.

      This is very similar to Namco X Capcom which is why it might not be localized. Main reason I’m disappointed is because of the absence of Bayonetta.

      The Japanese language has no “L”s (thus, what would normally normaly have L’s in them (like lee) would be “Rii” (E’s turn into I’s due to how it works as well) ).

      A simulation RPG is pretty much just basic term for RPG it could be anything from tactical like fire emblem, to something like final fantasy turn taking… Or kingdom hearts or even something like xenoblade which in itself is similar to mmorpgs without the mmo and since Tales characters, and Xenosaga characters are included it may be similar to their play style, also there’s a chance it can be like Zelda since some people consider it an RPG, or it could be like dragon’s dogma… Since capcom made it… Etc etc hope it helped… I may be wrong so please tolerate it if I was wrong… SORRY IM SORRY IM WORTHLESS!!! *suicides*

    I’m disappointed to not see Sonic in this. Even for a Cross-Over title, especially a Cross-Over that’s being done by Capcom considering it’s usually about iconic characters beating up iconic characters. And Sonic is pretty much what defines Sega. Atleast Capcom included Megaman X, (about time of them to include a REAL Megaman) but still I hope hear that Sonic is in the game and this is just an early announcement, it just wouldn’t be right if he wasn’t included.

    I’m surprised there’s no Sonic character on the roster. But then again we don’t even know how the game is suppose to play out. I’ll wait for some at least some trailers before I start making any judgements.

    god i hate RPG’s and the fact that theres no Sonic characters confirmed yet. I guess that saves $40 of my money. WHY DO THEY NOT WANT MY MONEY. If you like RPG’s thats fine but this doesn’t look cool to me.

    Gah, I wish it had Tales of the Abyss characters instead of Vesperia. I just got Vesperia yesterday, and so far the characters just aren’t as interesting or likable as Abyss’s. Jade alone is better than Yuri and Estellise.

    Nitpicking aside, this seems interesting enough. If it comes to the US, I’ll check it out.
