PSA: That list of 3DS launch titles is a lie

There’s been a list of Nintendo 3DS launch titles floating around the interwebs over the last few hours but it seemed a bit “off” because the source was Softpedia, and they themselves didn’t say when they got the information from. It turns out they ripped the list from a GameSpot post that listed titles for the 3DS’s launch *window*, meaning the games aren’t confirmed to be available on day one.

    Awww…. unlike Viggie24 I wasn’t disappointed. I did however notice that there was no Star Fox 64 3D, and as I have said earlier that is the closest game to finishing, after Pilotwings. The 5 most probable launch games are:
    1. Kid Icarus Uprising
    2. Pilotwings 3D
    3. Star Fox 3D
    4. Nintendogs + Cats 3D
    5. Super Street Fighter 3D
    Other than that we don’t have any idea how close games are to finishing. There are some games that might come out too, but I’m listing the big ones here.

      I wonder if Valve would be interested in developing for the 3DS? Somehow I doubt it, but we can hope.

    Not suprising, although I do kind of regret that it isn’t true (I wanted a Ocarina of Time 3D bundle =( ).

    That said, it does raise the question which titles WILL be available at launch. This is something that is still unclear and Nintendo does need at least SOME software to go along with the hardware.

    I read in a article that Resident evil revelations and MGS3 are launch titles, does anyone think this could possibly be true for either of these games?

      No. Revelations is confirmed to be coming out after March and Metal Gear Solid isn’t far along enough in development.

    I was thinking about star Fox 64 and how that was playable at E3!

    The list isn’t far off, but Star Fox 64 should be a launch title

    thank goood!!!!! because i reealy want mario kart 3ds and paper mario (3ds) well, as u can see i like mario games =D oh ya and part of that list did it say SUPER MINKEY BALL?!!! or somthing like that lmffffao

    I dont’ t think is a lie the list the Nintendo said at E3 and also I really wnat to play Mario Kart3DS.
