Nintendo Direct is an initiative from Nintendo to deliver news directly to their fans. Satoru Iwata hosted a live stream to kick it off, and Reggie Fils-Aime has launched the official website for North America with the first of what should be many video updates. Awesome! It’s about time they started giving news directly to fans. I’ve never been a huge fan of the way they handle news on their own websites.

I just watched the first video, and it’s a good idea. I like Reggie a lot, so I hope he does all/most of them. As for the conference, it was pretty good in my opinion. Wasn’t expecting much, but the video recording looks better than I thought, Swapnote looks alright (Atleast it’s some form of communication…) and the Streetpass region thing is kind of cool. Except all my Streetpasses are either NJ or NY, so my map is going to be really small…

Germany already has a Nintendo News service. Every two weeks there is a 10+ minutes Video of a woman talking about Nintendo News, called “Nintendo News”.

Pushmo looks fun. It looks like the first original paid eshop game worth getting (I’m basing this on he assumption that Rolling Western will be released later). At least for me, anyway.

Microsoft and Sony have made some hardcore games, but Nintendo strives to revolutionize the the industry itself. Thats why Nintendo is the best.
it’s kinda sad that Nintendo has to do this just b/c other websites just don’t give a flip and/or always find a way to interject news with a knock against Nintendo
