In an effort to increase the awareness of games that may otherwise remain out of the spotlight, Nintendo is considering a feature that would automatically send game demos to your Nintendo 3DS. The idea is that you’d opt-in to this service and without further interaction you would receive the content.
Here’s how Satoru Iwata explains it:
When Nintendo would like to ask users to try a specific new game, we should deliver it to their Nintendo 3DS, and possibly Wii U, with their prior consent and recommend that they just try it and, if they like it, they can pay for it. In this way, we need to introduce users to unknown products.
…and then explaining why this would exist:
Consumers are likely to be convinced to pay about 5,000 yen for a well-established franchise product, but not all the people are willing to pay a certain amount of money for an innovative but unknown product. Now is the time to prepare for these situations.
That sounds good to me. Granted, I’d be happy with demos in general. The automatic feature just makes it that little bit extra convenient though.

@Dustman= this is the first remake of OoT. The rest where free pre-order bonuses or virtual console copies which shouldn’t count as a remake. As for nintendo orgasm…Why U mad? They are making games, they are releasing them slowly. Most devs are releasing games near the holiday season because it sells well at that time and ocarina of time was awesome.

Last time I checked, Ocarina of Time 3D is the first and only remake of it.
The only remakes out there are Master Quest for the GameCube, and 3D for the Nintendo 3DS. I don’t think 2 remakes is too much considering the 3D version also has the Master Quest version.

American localization of Xenoblade is complete, The Last Story is currently being translated to English for an American release, but there is no word on Pandora’s Tower localization. This information was disclosed to Operation Rainfall today from a source within Nintendo who wishes to remain anonymous. There is currently no indication of when Nintendo of America plans to formally announce these titles.
Last week Nintendo of America told its followers on Facebook and Twitter that it had no plans to bring Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora’s tower to America “at this time.” Nintendo intentionally left open the possibility of release. Allegedly, the Redmond, WA branch has been working with other branches to bring Xenoblade and The Last Story to North America.
The NSTC version of Xenoblade was completed just over a month ago. Testing for the PAL and NSTC versions of The Last Story are allegedly beginning in around a month. There is currently no word on localization for an NSTC version of Pandora’s Tower.
Remember, this information was disclosed to Operation Rainfall in confidence. Until Nintendo of America makes an announcement there will be no official word of an NTSC release. However, this news has increased our hope for a North American release of these games. It could also explain why retailers like Amazon continue to have Xenoblade (Monado: Beginning of the World) listed on their website.
Make of this information what you will, but after much internal discussion Operation Rainfall believed it would be best to share this information with our followers. Consider this our announcement of a forthcoming announcement.
Help us keep the pressure on Nintendo, and hopefully we will get a formal announcement of Xenoblade, The Last Story, and Pandora’s Tower sooner rather than later.

That would be pretty slick to pick up my 3DS and have a playable demo as a surprise on it. I’ve never played Pokemon, and may never, but still get a little thrill out of checking what’s new in my Pokedex daily.
I was unsure until I heard that you could choose whether or not to do this. Of course I’d do it, but if it was forced I doubt all people would like that. Hopefully it happens

I agree with Keigo Niwa, and I’m upgrading to a 4Gig for now untell some 1 can get me a 32GB SD card.
This could be great, because most of the games on dsiware seem to a bit obscure and would be nice to see how they play before dropping $$ on them.

I did just that. Copied the content to a 16GB card and that was it. I made a back up of the content also.

I would love this to happen. I’ve seen so many games on DSi Ware etc… that look good but there’s looking good and being good – and there’s no way of knowing. Nobody wants to buy something, just to dislike it (and especially with downloadable content…) not be able to trade it in or get a refund.
