Jools Watsham has confirmed that a sequel to Mutant Mudds is in the works and will be available in 2013. It will be available on the eShop, as was the case with the original game, but this time, it will have five levels on each world. The final level on each world will be a boss battle.

You should get Dillon’s Rolling Western.

      ;)

  • Book

One week till we get the first one :D

  • MadCrain

That’s a cool feature, maybe they can add more.

  • George

I really need to finish the first game.

    • ectoBiologist

      I haven’t bought it. :/

  • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

im surprised. wont get it though. im probably going to go to the wii u blog instead too. the 3ds doesnt have anything worth it. and the wii u seems to actually be made properly with todays technology.

    • the psvita is better

are you kidding me? the 3ds is awesome, how can it not be worth it?

    • Enigma

Lol. Wii U. Made properly. Hahaha. The 3DS was made “properly” too.

Say that when the PS4 and new Xbox comes out and completely surpasses the Wii U in terms of graphical muscle, and games. The Wii had it’s motion controls to save it last time, but everyone is tired of that. You think that overly large clunky controller will do anything for it?

    • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

when i saw a video of the wii u, letting me be able to have a live video chat with i hope any user, and some other stuff, i figured they must have made it good. as long as i can talk with others, such as playing zombiU online, which i hope has online multiplayer or i wont get it, then its good enough for me. i hope it will have emails and such too though.

and like with my dsi, except my dsi was unplayable, my wii doesnt work becuz of the cheap technology it had so i need a wii u to play wii games again. and i want pikmin 3 in hd. i hope the hd cables will be out on release day though. oh and really, the 3ds isnt worth it. after getting my laptop, i dont use it for anything period. for me its a waste and im going to sell it for the wii u. nobody knows how to make handheld games yet. if anyone thinks its only portable gaming then they are dumb.

    • http://www.csfgpapercraft.com/wp Seb

“Nobody knows how to make handheld games yet”
      “They are dumb”
Are you implying your opinion as fact?
Please don’t call people dumb that way.

    • Total911

WHAAAAAT? There may not have been many new 3DS games announced, but just look at how many of them are coming out this year! You are SOOOOOO close! I am getting a WiiU day one, but that’s no reason to ditch the 3DS!

    • su

For sure we won’t miss you, how bout you go the wii u blog NOW.

    • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

seb: no. nobody knows how to do anything right. i dont know why they didnt even add back triggers on a 3ds. its pretty much back buttons. the vita chose a touch back screen instead though.

total911: im just too advanced. flipnote memo still isnt even out yet. and i paid $250 for my 3ds. if anything, i will at least sell it for a wii u, and maybe even help get a purple 3ds.

su: well, until the wii u comes out, im still going to have a 3ds anyway.

    • The dude

Hey guys, have you seen this:

      http://internetflix3dcontent.com/ipad-3d-movies/netflix-now-streaming-3d/

      Is this true or what?

      @Hybrilynx

      Kid Icarus: uprising

Heroes of Ruin (with voice chat)

      Monster Hunter 4

      Kingdom Hearts 3

      Luigi’s Mansion 2

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s treasure

      Rodeo the Sky Soldier

      Final Fantasy Dimensions

Resident Evil: Mercenaries (it’s like Call of Duty)

      Resident Evil: Revelations

3rd Resident Evil that will surpass Revelations

And how about Panasonic view, like in such games as Zedla Ocarina of Time 3D & the Amazing Spider-Man 3DS (like shown in the demo)

And what about 3D Streaming that Hulu Plus promise this year.

And HBO GO & MAX GO have 3D content.

    • The dude

      Panoramic View (correction)

    • The dude

And YouTube has lots of 3D Videos like 3D movie trailers for such movies as Pirates of the Carribean 4 & Tron Legeacy & Cars 2 and those are just the Disney 3D trailers, LOL.

    • Enigma

The 3DS’s 3D is not normal 3D guys. The 3D for all that stuff is meant for only popping out of the screen, not the depth that the 3DS offers. The 3D on all that would have to be completely redone for the 3DS.

    • The dude

      @enigma

They just put the right side image on the left side & vice-versa, so the 3D goes the opposite direction in all 3D Displays, Literally.

And all of the 3D Movies in the past 6 to 12 months have been inward anyway; i.e. Ghost Rider 2 & Men in Black 3 & the Avengers & etc. etc.

But I’m guessing that you haven’t see any 3D Movies in the past 12 months in theaters………………..well I have.

And the 3D Movie Trailers in the Nintendo Video app.

anyways it will still work on e 3DS and it will all Pop-Out like it does on all other 3D Displays, Literally.

David even said so back in 2010 when he was talking about how 3rd Party Developers will have to spend some time deciding whether they want everything to Pop-Out in their Video Games OR if they want it to have Depth instead.

    • Enigma

It’s not that simple. 3D just doesn’t work that way. 3D is created when two 2D images are sent to each eye, and melded together in the brain to create a 3D image. With glasses 3D, the 3D the theater movies use for example. Both 2D images are sent around the room at all directions, and will come at you at the same time. The glasses will manually sort each 2D image to each eye, creating the 3D effect.

With the glassesless 3D, or the parallax barrier that the 3DS uses the 3D is created very differently. The 3D shaders on the 3DS screen will send each 2D image to different eyes by itself. Instead of just mixing the 2D images like the other 3D, the 3DS will have to send these images on a straight, unmoving line from specific spots on the screen. That’s what the “sweet spot” is. If you move out of the area than the images could end up on your forehead, or cheek or something, not your eyes.

Just switching the 3D from the left, to the right eye would do absolutely nothing. It would still create the same 3D effect. But that wouldn’t make the glasses 3D the glassesless 3D at all.

Even with the paralax barrier being used on other some other devices, I think that it would still have to be redone to fit the 3D shaders on the 3DS screen. Yeah, it’s not that simple.

I hope that made some sense. I’m not exactly and expert on 3D effects. Here, maybe Jonathan can explain if better than me.

      http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/nintendo-3ds5.htm

    • The dude

But one of those images are always filter by the same thing……………it’s just on the other side of the screen.

And same goes for the other image.

      :p

    • The dude

On the 3DS the right side image is still filter by the parallax barrier in the same way.

And same goes for the left side image.

    • The dude

And how the 3DS 3D works is by using 2 high levels of brightness on the Top LCD Screen, and then it get translated by the Parallax Barrier into 2 certain oscillations.

1 certain variation of brightness gets translated into certain oscillations that can only been seen by the right eye.

The other certain variation of brightness gets translated into certain oscillations that can only been seen by the left eye.

The 3DS does NOT mix the 2 images.

And therefore you still need 2 eyes to see the 3D in the 3DS.

      And it is NOT shutter.

And he Parallax Barrier uses microscopic thin lines………..and every other line translates one variation of high brightness into certain oscillations that can only be seen by the right eye.

And every other thin line translates the other for oscillations that can only be seen by the left eye.

And this is why you still need 2 eyes.

But you can hold the 3DS upside-down and still get the same 3D effect………..I know from experience.

    • The dude

FYI the Parallax Barrier is the glass over the Top Screen that cost Nintendo $30 to use for each manufacture 3DS.

And it’s from SHARP, so they’re making good money off Nintendo.

And I believe the LCD Screen might also be from SHARP.

Anyways, David has mention this on the Blogs videos in the past.

    • The dude

      @enigma

      You clearly haven’t played 3D Blu-Rays on a 3D TV.

The older ones have every single thing Pop-Out.

But the new 3D Blu-Ray Disc have everything use Depth, being inward on all 3D TVs.

But the shutter glasses ones may look different.

But the 3NET video clips were originally popping out for the full series on 3D HD TV , but now when I watch the reruns on my same old 3D HD TV, it now is inward instead for the same episodes.

So clearly anyone with a special computer can re-format the 2 Recorded images to give a different 3D effect.

      :p

    • Enigma

Ohhh god. So much text. Lazyness…..acting up again.

“The 3DS does NOT mix the 2 images” I know, like I said, your brain does.

“You clearly haven’t played 3D Blu-Rays on a 3D TV.The older ones have every single thing Pop-Out. But the new 3D Blu-Ray Disc have everything use Depth, being inward on all 3D TVs. But the shutter glasses ones may look different.”

Most of this 3D stuff could not be simply ported over to the 3DS. It would require a lot of reformating and stuff. Even the stuff that uses the paralax barrier would have to be reformated for the 3DS’s filters, or shutters or whatever. I get the two confused. Truthfully, I don’t even know the difference. To google search I go!

    • Enigma

“The 3DS does NOT mix the 2 images”
And the glasses type of 3D will project both images at you at the same time, and the glasses would filter the two images. Like I said.

“But you can hold the 3DS upside-down and still get the same 3D effect………..I know from experience.”
Yes, the 3D works like that. It doesn’t matter which eyes the go in.

“They just put the right side image on the left side & vice-versa, so the 3D goes the opposite direction in all 3D Displays, Literally.”
Lol. That would just create the exact same 3D effect. It wouldn’t make the 3D go in instead of out.

    • http://hybrilynx.net/ Hybrilynx

i dont know whats going on, but i dont use 3d at all anyway, becuz it hurts my eyes. maybe becuz i wear glasses, idk, but i dont like using the 3d.

    • The dude

      @enigma

Disney & Warner Bros. & Dreamworks, all said that they are reformatting all of their Pop-Out 3D Movies to be inward for the 3DS, even doe the 3DS can have everything Pop-Out as well instead.

And that’s what Disney & Warner Bros. & Dreamworks all said.

So are you calling every Movie studio in Hollywood, liars?

    • Mike

The PSP and DS were actually pretty good handhelds. The 3DS was just rushed, thats why its so incomplete.

    • The dude

      @mike

The 3DS has been worked on since January 2009.

      So what are you smoking.

and the only reason we still don’t have eBooks is because Nintendo wants it on Wii U first, to make the Wii U more appealing & the only reason we can’t download full 3D Movies yet with the option to get a physical copy on a Cartridge instead……….is because Disney & Dreamworks & Warner Bros. always have a lot of projects to work on…….unlike the Weinstein Company that focuses more on quality and less on quantity, so they can make more original films with better quality than other original films.

And they never planned to have the 3DS Record Stereoscopic videos (which are 60 fps, unlike 2D which is 24 fps).

They just saw the great potential for what they can do with Wireless updates, which is why the Redesigns are dead and why Nintendo will NEVER make a redesign of the 3DS, because Firmware Updates have Killed the Redesign.

      :)

    • The dude

Also they slightly improve on the battery life in each major update, but it more noticible with DS games & Netfliix.

At 2.0.0-xU the Netflix App streamed for 6 hours fully charged.

But at 3.0.0-5U the Netflix App streams for 8 hours fully charged.

And I think 4.0.0-7U just improves the streaming quality, like it improves the Quality of the video images for playing DS Games.

      ;)

    • Enigma

Dude, are you getting what i’m saying at all? You just said the same thing that I have been saying the whole time. You have to REFORMAT all that 3D stuff for the 3DS. You can’t just effortlessly port it over to the 3DS.

    • The dude

But stereoscopic 3D only takes a few days or less than a month per Movie to reformat.

It’s NOT the same as converting a 4 hour 2D Movie for pure 3D perfection, which takes a maximum of 18 months.
And you can only watch the 3D version of 2D Movies on a 100 inch screen and bigger; i.e. Titanic 3D &Thor & Star Wars & so fort.

      :)

    • Enigma

      It’s not that easy.

    • The dude

Tell that to Star Wars Episode 1 3D, which took only a few months for a 2D Movie.

      :p

    • Enigma

      Hahaha.

      “Only”?

    • The dude

But 3D movies take a fraction of the time that a 2D Movie, like Star Wars Phanthom Menace takes.

So like a week or two for each 3D Movies on their special computer they use to reformat……..luckily for us.

The real problem is that they have been planning on how to distribute these 3D movies for the 3DS.

I think they will most likely use Cartridges, but I hope they also release a digital version for the eShop, because I have a 32 GB SD card in my 3DS.

I guessing from Tekken Prime Edition, which comes with a movie…….that the 3D Movies at 3DS Native Resolution will take up 1 to 2 GB each………I hope.

I think I’ll get at least 3 Movies digitally and the rest physically.

I just wish they could already figure out how to distribute all these 3D Movies, because they said that they haven’t figure that part out, yet, but that was in 2010 or 2011.

I wonder if they still haven’t figure it out yet, I’m guessing they still haven’t.

  • Enigma

    Mutant Mudds was tiiight.

Let us all make sure to download plenty of copies of this game, to give the developer plenty of incentive to make a 3rd entry in the series, alright?
