More evidence that Monster Hunter 3DS will be announced in a few days?

There was a rumor that *Monster Hunter 3DS* would be announced next month (although the rumor begun in March, so “next month” is actually this month). It’s difficult to understand the translation of the source, but the theory stands that Capcom was meant to announce *Monster Hunter 3DS* on March 13th. The earthquake struck though and that changed those plans. Supposedly this announcement has been shifted to Capcom Captivate 2011 which kicks off on April 6th. Anyone able to do a “real” translation though?

    never played these games but have heard good stuff about them I would be excited to play it if it did come to the 3ds!

      The Monster Hunter series is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I highly suggest picking it up if they do release one for the 3DS.

      Monster Hunter is a pretty huge title in Japan, and they’re starting to move the magic over to the US. I’d even go as far as to say it’s on par with Dragon Quest and Pokemon games, and Japan celebrates those games like a national holiday when a new release comes around. ;]

    I enjoy the Monster Hunter series, played the hell out of Unite on the PSP (no matter how bad I am at it). Would love to see touch screen implementation. A lot of good things could be incorporated into this series with the 3DS, mainly streetpass and actual online play that doesn’t involve other application integration. Here’s hoping they try to expand more on the series like the Wii sequel did, Might be asking to much of the hardware (disc capacity wise) though =\ I highly doubt this would be coming out outside of Japan for a very long time seeing how the last PSP one hasn’t been released outside yet.

    I like the idea of this series, but I never got the game on wii. I might be more pushed to get it if it’s on the 3ds though.

      Yeah, this image is just a mock-up, since also, he’s fighting the Rathian in the desert from Monster Hunter Tri/Portable 3rd, but the map is… something else, I’m blanking out.

    A Monster Hunter game is inevitable. It’s one of the biggest reasons the PSP is selling well in Japan; it’s probably the biggest, but I don’t want to use absolutes. Capcom knows simply announcing a Monster Hunter game will net a lot of sales for the 3DS (before the game is even announced), and so does Nintendo.

    I would love to see an iteration of Tri on the 3DS. It would be perfect for the console actually with all of it’s online connectivity, space and power of it. We would be able to quest with friends with much less of a hassle as it was on the Wii and we wouldn’t have to buy WiiTalk; I think the name is, to VC because the 3DS has a built in mic. Battery life wouldn’t be an issue because you wouldn’t be Question with friends outside you home anyway.

    I wonder when metal gear solid is coming out for the 3ds? I read that it may be coming in quarter 2 of 2011, but IGN has let me down before, and may do that again.

    i say MH3DS should be released as the 3ds could be sold more from such a popular series like MH. it would be cool especially if it was a portable Tri but if it was something like the upcoming Monster Hunter Portable 3rd then it would be even better as portable 3rd is like a PSP Tri + MHFU together and it would be amazing to see that on the 3ds as well. plus the Wifi would be very cool just like MH3 because MH is always fun with more people.
