Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter Tri G has already sold 1,000,000 copies since it’s release on December 10th. There’s not much else to say about this aside from noting the obvious in how crazy these numbers are. Let’s hope it’s enough for Capcom to localise the game (and seriously, it should be).

For the time being, you can click here to watch the twenty minutes of footage from the game.

Update: Aw, bugger. I jumped the gun on this story. It’s 1,000,000 units shipped, not sold. As far as sales are concerned, it’s closer to 500,000 units so far. Still a huge amount, but not as impressive as the mistaken figure. Sorry about that.

    0_0 Wow, just, wow……………

    • Mike S

If this is localized, is it possible for them to add online?

    • ColorblindMonk

No, it will not. Localization teams handle only translation. It’s up to the devs to implement something, which isn’t likely.

      okis :D

  • Gastrogenous

I still think this game won’t be localized, I expect Monster Hunter 4 to be localized but not his game. Maybe if enough people made themselves heard by Capcom.

    • DigitalGreenTea

      I agree.

    • ColorblindMonk

I bet it’s gonna take more than 50,000 strong to get heard.

    • Ruīji !

This might have a chance since this is an expansion of MH-Tri which did come out in America and sold pretty well. You never know, but MH4 will most-likely come out in America, too..

      I agree.

It’s sorta the ‘lighter’ version of the phrase, ‘bloody hell’, which I tend to use a lot. :P

That’s amazing. But give it time–they’ll sale a million copies in no time. Monster Hunter is one of Japan’s best-selling series.
