Miyamoto: New Mario 3DS is coming this year

Miyamoto has said that “I promise to do everything to deliver your new Mario this year,” and I don’t think he’s referring to the *Mario Kart* we already know about, but the *Super Mario 3DS* game that we’ve seen very little of. Nevertheless, if Miyamoto’s words be true, this year is going to packed with mighty fine first-party titles.

      I hope we see a Mario game this year although I’m kind of hoping it’s Mario Kart or Paper Mario but you can’t go wrong with good old fashion Super Mario!

      I hope it has the 64 style. Didn’t liked the Wii one so much. At least, no 3D flipping is confirmed

    When I read the title I thought you meant special Ed red 3DS (like 25th anniversary Mario xl) I almost cried because I only got the blue one.

    Yeah, bring it out to rival Sonic Generations! That is going to be a very close fight. (SPOILER: Mario may win.)

      I don’t think Sonic Generations is going to be on the 3DS or even the DS. I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure it’s only been announced for the 360 and ps3(maybe Wii idk)

      Yeah, character-wise I like Sonic better, but Mario still retains his gaming quality.

      Oh no I know that. It’s not going to be on the Wii, DS, or 3DS. I just meant in general. 2 great new games for 2 well recognized franchises? If the games come out around the same time it will make for quite the rivalry.

      They’d do well to bring it to the next home console, though. It would be an old game by then, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to port either.

      2)Super Mario 3D
      3)Mario Bros 3D
      4)Paper Mario

      Whats funny is that these are the top 4 I’m looking forward to out of ALL Games aswell LOL

      Well…..Mario Bros 3D is ALSO in the making, aswell as Mario Kart…MUST NEED NOW, and Super Mario 3D I NEED NOW, and Paper Mario.

    I don’t know if this helps but I went to gamestop and I saw the release date of a “Super Mario 3D” and a “Mario Kart 3D”. Super Mario 3D comes out 08/02/11 and Mario Kart 3D comes out the same day as Super Mario 3D.

      those screens arent the same game, gamestop has confirmed a super mario 3d port of the original. thats what miyamoto is talking about here. funny thing is i hear more about at gamestop than anywhere else lol
