Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon to be available via the eShop, trailer available right now

Nintendo has confirmed via their Software Showcase event that Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon will be available via the eShop as a digital release later this year. There was also a new trailer for the game shown that can be found on the eShop at this very moment.

    So does this mean there won’t be a physical release?

      No, there IS going to be a box copy, but the game can als be fully purchased via eShop.

      Nintendo is doing this with their own games too. So do not worry, you can still go to Gamestop and buy a physical copy. :P

      No, the said in the conference that all Nintendo retail games will now be available through retail or download.

    Hmm, I don’t so much care about a physical release, but does this mean the game won’t be that long?

      Not necessarily short, it can be a big sized game which means it’ll have a lot of content.

      I don’t think there’s any evidence the length of the game will be effected. Especially since the 3DS supports up to 30 gb SD cards I believe? I have a 16 myself, so I think I could probably hold a few retail games. Or more than a few. (I would know better if they didn’t phrase everything in blocks…)

    Nintendo changing Luigi’s Mansion 2 to Dark Moon leads me to wonder that this isn’t the real sequel, and also making it digital release is probably obvious. Probably the sequel is coming to the Wii U.

      Could be, actually. The game would probably be better on the Wii U anyway (swinging the schtick around as the vacuum, using the tablet screen as a ghost-finder, etc.)

      Actually, if you guys have been seeing almost every Luigi’s Mansion: DM footage, the REASON they call it Dark Moon is because the Moon shatters, and the pieces are scattered inside the mansions, and Luigi has to go out (or in, should I say :P) and find them all.

      I’m serious about this, this isn’t a lie, I don’t have that good of imaginiation haha.

    Is Luigi’s mansion a good game series, cause I’m thinking about getting it instead of thetrythm final fantasy. any opinion that could steer me in the right direction. maybe give me an idea of what the game is about. thanks

      Just when both games come out, watch walkthroughs and see which game you REALLY want. Don’t let people’s opinions tell you which way to steer, because if you listen, you might have chose the wrong way and regret it. Just listen to my advice (GET LM, GET LM!!)
