Honestly, trade in games and get both. If really can only get one, get Mario. At least you know its going to be good, Heroes could fall short of expectations and hype. If it’s successful it will stick around and you can get it later.

All I’m saying is that when it comes to a new game, there’s definitely a balance between more of the same and something new. Mario games will always be fun to play whether they change much or not, but just look at some of the previous and older games like Super Mario Bros 2, 3, Mario World, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Galaxy, etc. Each time they came out with one of these, there was a new theme, something different, something that made that specific game unique and fun, but still felt like a Mario game.

Also, I don’t think we’ll be too dissatisfied with the game. If it looks similar to the Wii version, then we can call it a portable version of NSMBWii in 3D. Big deal? I’ll be buying it, and I’ve only played NSMBWii once (because I don’t have Wii). So if this is like NSMBWii, it’ll still be a mostly new experience for me.

But no, yeah. This game does look a lot more like the Wii one. Plus it finally has the real Raccoon suit back and the new Gold Flower, turning every dang thing I see into my million dollars lol. But this one pretty much seems to go through the same levels as DS while the WiiU one appears to be in new levels on Yoshi’s Island from Super Mario World… They said that collecting one million coins in this 3DS one will actually take at least about 60 hours of straight gameplay to reach the goal so I think that is a plus, huh?

Gotta admit it does look they half-assed this compared to the flagship Wii U version. The foreground textures look really basic in comparison and the backgrounds look nowhere near as good. The 3DS can do better.

You really can’t get the true graphic effect unless you look at it while playing the game. Look at all the video trailer downloads on the 3ds for other 3ds games. The difference is huge when you actually play the game.

So guys I must be going blind because by my account 3D makes games look blurry, especially how there’s no true anti-aliasing on the 3DS and more often than not it hinders accuracy.

SM3DLand had tanooki suits not squirrel suits. Just throwing this out here, the suit is not a racoon it’s a raccoon dog which is a canine that looks and acts like a raccoon and is brown. Raccoons are gray and black. I am more excited about the WiiU one too because of the multiplayer.

to make it fair. I have the 3DS AND the Ps Vita. And stop arguing, They are both great systems, The ps vita has stronger points than the 3ds, but the 3ds had that also with the vita.

Vita has better graphics, I know and it plays great, especially with rayman origins!

The 3DS is also great with the number of content available, and yeah, Nintendo always makes me happy, also because I grew up with nintendo, I bet (almost) everyone grew up playing super mario bros or super mario land on the gameboy.

Too bad for vita owners and me, Not much content…. I can’t wait for the release of need for speed most wanted for vita, and for 3ds…..I can’t wait for this game, luigi’s mansion DM and Paper mario.

Conclusion, I don’t want to be part of those idiotic vg wars, and I just enjoy playing video games on every console…..that’s where they’re made for…..

The 3DS library is much better right now since the Vita mainly has ports and a small number of killer apps so you could say that the 3DS wins in software and the Vita wins in hardware. Sony will recover though and the Vita will hopefully end up with games that are appropriate for handhelds instead of games I can play on PS3.

I have both too. The Vita is more powerful, but I really like the 3D effect of the 3DS. To me that gives it a unique look. The Vita is basically like a PS3 that you can play anywhere. When I am at home I still play the 3DS. I don’t bother with the Vita at home though because if I just want 2D console style graphics with high resolution I just play the PS3 or 360.

You see you lack imagination. Sorry but it’s the truth. They could have taken Super Mario World and added crazy layers sort of like in Mutant Mudds, but more extreme. You could surf in the background, hit a ramp and then get flung into the foreground, then jump onto a koopa shell and spin onto land leaving goombas dead behind you. just a quick example.

This thing will take a week to download on the eShop. Screw digital. Might Switch Force could the cookie. Retail all the way…unless digital gets some bonus extras. I wouldn’t mind if it was priced slightly higher.

If we buy a retail copy we should get a system locked digital copy free.

They’d have to implement some kind of online activation after you load up the physical copy of course.

If they made retail games system locked like Microsoft plan to do it could work. Digital copies could have a 3-4 download limit once you log into your personal account on whatever system.

So, in short – this could work if future retail 3DS games were system locked and through a unique account, possibly through an eShop update, you could load up your retail game which would unlock the digital copies. The digital copies could have a download limit of say 3-4 and would be locked to your own account.

Or maybe I’m just tired and none of this makes sense.

Microsoft are thinking of doing something similar for the 720, I think.
