Gameloft’s work on *Asphalt 3D* left me cold and dejected. But there were good ideas behind the game, so I’m interested to see what the developers can do given some extra time. And that interest will be satiated with *Let’s Golf! 2*, which will be coming to the eShop. Here’s the official quote form their press release:
> Gameloft will launch numerous best-selling games in the coming months, starting with Let’s Golf! 2, the first Gameloft title to arrive on the Nintendo eShop.
The use of the word “numerous,” has me worried though. Is it really possible to release that many well-done ports in a matter of months? Either way, it adds another notch to the eShop line-up. And while a few people have penned this as the first eShop title, that honour would actually go to Angry Birds.
Oh man Im worried too . D:
Noooooo… Please don’t make the eshop like another dsiware shop, Nintendo. If the majority of games are like this and Angry Birds I would cry.
POSITIVES: THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE! yayy! You cant go wrong with old school gameboy games.
Moral of Story: Don’t let Gameloft make games.
You obviously don’t own a mobile phone; Gameloft has been making high-quality titles for mobile devices for almost a decade. The only reason Asphalt 3D sucked was because it’s optimized for the iPhone; I can attest to the fact that it runs smoothly on the iPod, which was David’s major complaint. They also make games for Android devices; check out their plethora of high quality games and you’ll wish you never said that. They’re like the Nintendo of the smartphone world.
I see what you did there David. Pretty sneaky.
im actually thinking of getting angry birds
I really hate how nintendo REALLY wants to focus on 3rd party games’ durring launch window, while just about every one of them (except for a few exceptions) are lazy ports & quick buck titles I wonder if the outcome would have been different if nintendo had focused on more AAA titles
Most of the lazy ports where created to cash in on the launch window. There are plenty of AAA titles coming soon.
Excuse me for my noobyness…but.. what does AAA stand for?
AAA is actual nintendo games that are big titles like a zelda or mario game
Ya….. no. AAA means “Triple A”, which goes for high quality. It’s no set standard, and people usually use it for good movies, games, products, etc. So if someone says, “AAA game” they mean a really good game. That’s why Jake thought it meant Nintendo games (or he was being sarcastic), as they’re generally really good.
Funny enough, I’m looking for AAA batteries around my house.
I’m still very worried there are no more anouncement off AAA-titles for the 3DS ,only crapware like on the Wii and the DS….
Hoo. Already saw lots of people trying to trade their PSP to a 3DS
Gameloft makes great mobile games; I don’t see the problem here. Why can’t they just port a great game, like Shadow Guardian, Real Soccer 2011, or some other highly-regarded game of theirs. I’m just happy I have an iPod, so if a game released on the 3DS sucks I can just play it on the iPod.
Real soccer. Its really real.
I guess you can only play as Real Madrid? Let’s keep things real here folks. Oh, ho ho ho! :D
:P
People who release a ton of games at any launch in my opinion almost always have sucky games.
Nah. Gameloft makes some great games. On the top of my head, search these on youtube:
N.O.V.A.
Dungeon Hunter
Eternal Legacy
Sacred Odyss
Star Front Collision
They may be clones but they’re great games
I’m sorry. here it is separated:
N.O.V.A., Dungeon Hunter, Eternal Legacy, Sacred Odyss, Star Front Collision
So Angry Birds will pretty much be there relatively quickly, if not as soon as the eShop is released in May?
YES.
I’ve always found Gameloft games to be terrible, Never been interested by these…
I want a golf game in 3DS ASAP!!
hi there wait a miniute now i am confuesed againg it says e-shop comming soon but is the e-shop wont be online untill late may thats 2 months or 1/6 of a year
It’s not like you have to by all their games.
